  • Publication number: 20200316531
Abstract: An industrial wastewater filtration membrane and method for manufacture is disclosed herein. The membrane has three layers: a support layer of nonwoven fabric such as PET, a polysulfone nanofiber filtering membrane layer, and a nanoporous polyamide active separating layer. The polysulfone layer is electrospun onto the support layer. The polyamide layer is electrosprayed onto the polysulfone layer. The resulting membrane has a pure water flux rate of at 0.48 MPa that is between 40-200 liters per square meter per hour, a rejection rate of sodium chloride of 10-85% with inlet sodium chloride concentration of 2000 ppm, and a rejection rate of magnesium sulphate of 80-97% with inlet magnesium sulphate concentration of 2000 ppm.

  • Patent number: 8336474
Abstract: A method of manufacturing wrinkle-free garment seams and garments made therefrom comprises (a) placing a bonding element comprising a thermal adhesive between garment components; (b) stitching along a seam line; and (c) applying heat and/or pressure to cause the adhesive to melt and flow along the seam to bond at least one garment component. The thermal adhesive has a melting point of higher than about 150° C., preferably in the range about 160° C. to about 190° C. Alternatively, a bonding element comprising any adhesive material and having a substantially U shape is used to make various seams, such as a yoke seam, a shoulder seam, a side seam, a pocket seam, a hem button stay seam, a sleeve seam, a collar seam, etc. Wrinkle free garments, such as shirts, pants, blouses, skirts, etc., incorporating the seams are produced.

  • Publication number: 20060148356
Abstract: The present invention is a quick-drying pure cotton fabric whose two faces have different properties and a method of producing same. One face of said fabric is a hydrophobic face formed largely or entirely from hydrophobic pure cotton, and the other face is a hydrophilic face formed largely or entirely from hydrophobic pure cotton. Moreover, said fabric is capable of unidirectional transportation of water. The method of producing said fabric consists mainly of separate hydrophobic treatments of pure cotton yarn. The result is hydrophilically-treated yarn and hydrophobically treated yarn. Then the two types of yarn are knit according to a certain knitting process to produce a fabric whose two faces have different properties: hydrophilicity and hydrophobicity. The fabric is also comfortable and has moisture management and fast-drying functions.
