The multiply-accumulate calculation circuit comprises a multiplication calculation circuit array and an accumulation calculation circuit. The multiplication calculation circuit array is composed of M groups of multiplication calculation circuits. Each group of multiplication calculation circuits is composed of one multiplication array unit and eight selection-shift units. The order of the multiplication array unit is quantized in real time by using on-chip training to provide a shared input for the selection-shift units, achieving increased operating rate and reduced power consumption.

    Abstract: In an example embodiment, position bias and other types of bias may be compensated for by using two-phase training of a machine-learned model. In a first phase, the machine-learned model is trained using non-randomized training data. Since certain types of machine-learned models, such as those involving deep learning (e.g., neural networks) require a lot of training data, this allows the bulk of the training to be devoted to training using non-randomized training data. However, since this non-randomized training data may be biased, a second training phase is then used to revise the machine-learned model based on randomized training data to remove the bias from the machine-learned model. Since this randomized training data may be less plentiful, this allows the deep learning machine-learned model to be trained to operate in an unbiased manner without the need to generate additional randomized training data.

    Abstract: Variational Autoencoders (VAEs) have been shown to be effective in modeling complex data distributions. Conventional VAEs operate with fully-observed data during training. However, learning a VAE model from partially-observed data is still a problem. A modified VAE framework is proposed that can learn from partially-observed data conditioned on the fully-observed mask. A model described in various embodiments is capable of learning a proper proposal distribution based on the missing data. The framework is evaluated for both high-dimensional multimodal data and low dimensional tabular data.

    Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide systems, methods, and computer storage media for techniques for identifying textual similarity and performing answer selection. A textual-similarity computing model can use a pre-trained language model to generate vector representations of a question and a candidate answer from a target corpus. The target corpus can be clustered into latent topics (or other latent groupings), and probabilities of a question or candidate answer being in each of the latent topics can be calculated and condensed (e.g., downsampled) to improve performance and focus on the most relevant topics. The condensed probabilities can be aggregated and combined with a downstream vector representation of the question (or answer) so the model can use focused topical and other categorical information as auxiliary information in a similarity computation.
