    Abstract: A gap is maintained between: an outer surface of a shaft which is inserted in and removed from a hole of a box body and serves as a rotation shaft; and a hole wall, while axial misalignment of the shaft in the hole is inhibited. In a double opening storage device, a lid has two shafts that extend so as to advance and retract along two rotation shafts. Each shaft has a cut portion which is obtained by a part of a circumferential portion of a leading end portion being cut out and disposed in a lower portion at lid closed position. The box body has two holes, formed in a side wall, corresponding to the two shafts of the lid, and has a projection that projects upward from a lower surface of the hole wall of each hole, and that moves the shaft upward when the lid is opened.

Each opening and closing mechanism include: a shaft member disposed so as to be coaxial with a rotation shaft; a support member that supports the shaft member so as to rotate the shaft member; an urging member that generates urging force for rotating the shaft member relative to the support member in an opening direction; and a locking device that holds the lid in a closed state against the urging force, and cancels, by an opening operation, holding of the lid. The shaft member and the support member include opposing surfaces, respectively, which are spaced from each other in the lid closed state, and projections, respectively, which interfere with each other while the lid is shifting from the closed state to a predetermined opened state.

    Abstract: A garnish includes a garnish body which covers a folded air bag and a locking portion which is inserted to be locked in a mounting hole in a mounting base on a vehicle body. The locking portion holds the garnish body which is pressed by the air bag when the air bag is inflated to move so as to form a projecting space for the air bag. The locking portion includes a locking main body portion which is inserted to be locked in the mounting hole and a connecting piece portion. The connecting piece portion includes a locking base portion on which the locking main body portion is provided, connecting portions which are connected to a rear surface of the garnish body, and deformable portions lying between the locking base portion and the connecting portions and is molded integrally with the garnish body. The deformable portions deform to extend a distance between the locking base portion and the connecting portion when the garnish body moves towards a vehicle interior side.
