Patent number: 11755055Abstract: A controller assembly functioning as a joystick includes a driving unit, a sliding member, a potentiometer, and a controlling module. The driving unit includes a driving mechanism, a worm, and a worm wheel, the worm wheel connected to the sliding member. Through the worm, the driving mechanism rotates the worm wheel, causing the sliding member to move up and down only. The potentiometer detects rotation of the worm wheel, the controlling module obtains movement accordingly of the sliding member. The controlling module obtains a user's operating force applied to the driving mechanism, and compares the positional information and the operating force information with preset values to obtain comparison results. The sliding member is driven to move according to the two comparison results. An electronic device with the controller assembly is also disclosed.Type: GrantFiled: August 25, 2022Date of Patent: September 12, 2023Assignees: HONGFUJIN PRECISION ELECTRONS (YANTAI) CO., LTD., HON HAI PRECISION INDUSTRY CO., LTD.Inventors: Yu-Hsiang Hao, Chien-Heng Chen, Yao-Che Peng

Patent number: 10957198Abstract: A system and a method for determining a parking space are provided. The method includes: obtaining parking space information within a range where a vehicle is located, the parking space information including parking lot map data; analyzing an object in individual parking space in the parking space information and generating object information of the object of the individual parking space; and using the object information and the parking space information to calculate a spatial relationship between the object in the individual parking space and a parking space where the object is located, and determining that the parking space is an available parking space if the spatial relationship satisfies vehicle body information of the vehicle. Therefore, the vehicle can determine an available parking space before passing it, and can further choose a better parking space.Type: GrantFiled: December 23, 2019Date of Patent: March 23, 2021Assignee: INDUSTRIAL TECHNOLOGY RESEARCH INSTITUTEInventor: Yu-Hsiang Hao

Patent number: 10769948Abstract: A parking spot detection system is provided with a detection unit, a map database and a processing unit. The detection unit acquires position data and intensity data of a plurality of data points in an environment space. The map database provides map information. The processing unit is coupled to the detection unit and the map database and determines whether a geometric shape formed by adjacent data points is of a parking space according to the intensity data of the data points; and if the geometric shape is determined to be of the parking space, the processing unit further integrates the geometric shape and the position of the parking space into the map data according to the position data of the data points.Type: GrantFiled: December 27, 2018Date of Patent: September 8, 2020Assignee: Industrial Technology Research InstituteInventors: Yu-Hsiang Hao, Wen-Han Lu, Chia-Jui Hu, Tse-Lin Lee, Yu-Syuan Liao
