Patent number: 12291299Abstract: A safety system for bicycles includes a radar, a controller, and a warning apparatus, which includes a tube, a vibrating motor, and an impact sounder. The vibrating motor includes a rotary shaft and an eccentric block. The impact sounder includes an elastic member and an impact block. The elastic member includes a first end fixed to the inner wall of the tube and a second end connected to the impact block. When the controller decides to issue a warning based on a radar signal, it outputs a control signal to drive the rotary shaft to rotate. The rotation of the rotary shaft drives the eccentric block to rotate and vibrate, and the eccentric block strikes the impact sounder to make the impact block hit the inner wall and thus generate an impact force and emit a sound. The warning apparatus simultaneously provides the bicycle rider with vibrating, impacting, and audible warning.Type: GrantFiled: August 16, 2023Date of Patent: May 6, 2025Assignee: Dyaco International Inc.Inventors: Yu-Hsiang Tseng, Hsin-Pao Lin

Publication number: 20180192067Abstract: A scheduling method for a high efficiency video coding (HEVC) apparatus is provided. A plurality of input frame signals are received by a scheduling module of the HEVC apparatus to generate a control signal to determine whether an inter/intra-frame coding operation is to be performed on each of the input frame signals. When the control signal is determined to perform the inter/intra-frame coding operation, the HEVC apparatus performs a first coding operation and a second coding operation sequentially on multiple of the plurality of frame signals in each working cycle. Each working cycle is a time period corresponding to one of the first coding operation and the second coding operation that a single luma frame signal or a single chroma frame signal undergoes.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 21, 2017Publication date: July 5, 2018Inventors: Cheng-Yu Hsieh, Yu-Hsiang Tseng

Publication number: 20160210245Abstract: A circuit for accessing a memory is provided. The memory includes a scatter table storage region and a plurality of storage regions. The scatter table storage region stores a plurality of entries that record starting addresses and sizes of the data storage regions, respectively. The circuit includes an accessing circuit and a cache. The cache stores an entry read from the scatter table storage region. When the accessing circuit needs to access data from the data storage regions, the accessing circuit issues a read request to the cache to read the entry from the cache, determines whether the data is stored in the storage region recorded by the entry according to contents of the entry, and further accordingly determines whether to access the memory to obtain the data according to the contents of the entry.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 15, 2016Publication date: July 21, 2016Inventors: Yu-Hsiang Tseng, Cheng-Yu Hsieh

Patent number: 8854235Abstract: A decompression circuit for decompressing data includes a first decompression unit and a second decompression unit. The data sequentially includes a compressed first string, a compressed distance-length pair and a compressed second string. The first decompression unit performs a first decompression on the data to obtain a first string, a distance-length pair and a second string. The second decompression unit receives and decompresses the first string, the distance-length pair and the second string. The first decompression unit does not involve data associated with the distance-length pair when decompression the second string.Type: GrantFiled: September 5, 2013Date of Patent: October 7, 2014Assignee: MStar Semiconductor, Inc.Inventors: Yu-Hsiang Tseng, Chih-Hao Chang, Cheng-Yu Hsieh

Patent number: 8854234Abstract: A decompression circuit includes a first decompression unit and a second decompression unit. The first decompression unit performs a first decompression operation on data to generate first decompressed data. The first decompressed data includes a plurality of literals and a distance-length pair. The second decompression unit receives the first decompressed data, and sequentially performs a second decompression operation on the literals and the distance-length pair to generate second decompressed data. After the second decompression unit receives the distance-length pair from the first decompression unit and before the second decompression unit completes decompressing the distance-length pair, the second decompression unit transmits data required for the subsequent first decompression operation performed by the first decompression unit to the first decompression unit according to the distance-length pair.Type: GrantFiled: September 5, 2013Date of Patent: October 7, 2014Assignee: MStar Semiconductor, Inc.Inventors: Yu-Hsiang Tseng, Chih-Hao Chang, Cheng-Yu Hsieh

Publication number: 20140010303Abstract: A motion compensation image processing apparatus includes an external memory, a cache, a motion compensation module, a determination module and a fetching module. The external memory stores a reference frame associated with an image block. The motion compensation module sequentially performs motion compensation on a previous image block and the image block. When the motion compensation module performs motion compensation on the previous image block, the determination module determines a motion vector relative to the reference frame. Before the motion compensation module performs motion compensation on the image block, the fetching module fetches a reference region, corresponding to the motion block, in the reference frame from the external memory to the cache.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 8, 2013Publication date: January 9, 2014Applicant: MSTAR SEMICONDUCTOR, INC.Inventors: Wei-Hsiang Hong, Yu-Hsiang Tseng, Tai-Hsun Hu, Chia-Chiang Ho
