A sacrificial gate layer is formed over the fin structure and a source/drain structure is formed adjacent to the sacrificial gate layer, wherein the sacrificial gate layer is surrounded by a dielectric structure. The sacrificial gate layer is removed, wherein a recess is defined by the dielectric structure. A work function layer is formed in the recess, wherein the work function layer includes an overhang portion at an opening of the recess. A thickness of the work function layer is reduced. A glue layer is formed over the work function layer. A semiconductor structure thereof is also provided.

    Abstract: A method for data access control among multiple nodes and a data access system are provided. The data access system includes a data interconnect controller circuit that allocates resources of one or more slaves by one or more masters according to operating parameters of an interleaver, and includes an intelligent control module that collects use efficiency data of the one or more slaves and obtains a current setting of the data interconnect controller circuit via a monitor. The monitor calculates scores of use efficiency data. The scores and the setting are inputted to a neural network model. Parameters of the neural network model are adjusted according to the scores, and a new setting generated by the neural network model is applied to the interleaver of the data interconnect controller circuit, so that the data interconnect controller circuit performs access control among the multiple nodes with the new setting.

    Abstract: A microbial fuel cell and a method of manufacturing the same are provided. The microbial fuel cell includes a cathode, an anode, and a microbial community. The anode is made of an activated carbon prepared from waste coffee ground as an electrode material, and the microbial community is adhered to the surface of the activated carbon. Since the activated carbon prepared from waste coffee ground is beneficial for the adhesion of various microbial communities to form a biofilm, the electron transfer efficiency of the microbial fuel cell may be improved.

    Abstract: A self-power air refresher system includes an air refresher apparatus and a plant microbial fuel cell (PMFC). The air refresher apparatus includes a fan, a filter located on an air-outlet path of the fan, and an energy storage device connected to the fan. The PMFC is disposed on the air-outlet path and includes soil contained in a container, a plant planted in the soil, and a first and second electrodes. The interaction between roots of the plant and microorganisms near the roots generates electrons, and the electrons are transmitted to the energy storage device through the first and second electrodes installed in the soil so as to enable the energy storage device to supply power to the fan. The air that has passed through the filter enters the soil of the PMFC, and is filtered by the plant and then discharged from the container.
