Abstract: An audio jack connector includes an insulating housing and a plurality of terminals received in the insulating housing. The insulating housing has a main body and a mating portion projected from an end of the main body. An inserting channel is defined in both the main body and the mating portion. A plurality of grooves and an opening hole are defined in the main body and communicate with the inserting channel. At least one locking projection is formed in the opening hole. The terminals are at least partially received in the grooves of the insulating housing respectively and at least one of the terminals defines a contacting portion contained in the inserting channel via the opening hole with one end thereof being supported by the locking projection.

Abstract: A receptacle connector includes a shell, an insulating body and a plurality of terminals. The shell has a base board, two side boards and two top boards engaged with each other. A receiving recess is defined by the base board, the side boards and the top boards together. Each of the top boards defines at least one fixing opening. The insulating body has a base portion and a press plate connected with a top of the base portion. The press plate defines at least two fixing portions. The base portion is received in the receiving recess, the press plate is mounted on the top boards and the fixing portions are snapped into the corresponding fixing openings. The terminals are disposed in the base portion and stretch into the receiving recess.

Abstract: An insulation displacement connection (IDC) connector assembly includes an IDC connector and external cables. The cables are inserted in the IDC connector through passageways disposed in a surface of the IDC-connector to be terminated to the IDC connector. A positioning recess is defined in the top surface of the IDC connector corresponding to each cable and each communicates with the corresponding passageway and is exposed to surfaces adjacent to the surface mentioned above.
