  • Patent number: 6958973
Abstract: A output queuing method for forwarding the packets sequentially in a switching network. Each port is related to a port output queue and a global output queue is shared by all port output queues. A FIFO (First In First Out) block is allocated into each port output queue and the global output queue. The FIFO block contains a number of FIFO nodes. Based on the type and destination ports of the received packet, the fields of the related FIFO node in the port output queue and the global output queue are set. The packets are sent out or skipped based on the related fields.

  • Publication number: 20050175989
Abstract: A detector for detecting and simultaneously diagnosing at least one subtype of human papilloma viruses (HPV) contained in a biological sample is provided. The detector comprises: a carrier, a plurality of micro-dots immobilized on the carrier, wherein each micro-dot is for identifying one particular HPV subtype, and the HPV subtype is one selected from a group consisting of 39 different HPV subtypes; and at least one oligonucleotide sequence contained in each the micro-dot that is specific to the one particular HPV subtype, wherein the at least one oligonucleotide sequence serves as a detection probe that hybridizes specifically with an L1 gene sequence of the one particular HPV subtype to form a hybridization complex as a detection indicator, so that each micro-dot identifies one particular HPV subtype via a corresponding oligonucleotide of the one particular HPV subtype, and thereby detecting and simultaneously identifying subtypes of human papilloma viruses.

  • Patent number: 6884621
Abstract: The present invention provides method and carrier for culturing multi-layered tissue in vitro, wherein few amounts of tissue blocks and cells are positioned within a porous multi-layer carrier consisting of a cavity structure. By taking advantage of the structure of the carrier, tissue blocks and cells are separated into different layers according to their sizes, and incubated in vitro to reconstruct a multi-layered tissue for tissue repair.

  • Patent number: 6824716
Abstract: A process for producing porous polymer material. The method combines a polymer and water-soluble granules to form a mixture. The mixture is placed into a mold; the surface of the polymer is dissolved to cause cohesion and form a polymer structure having water-soluble granules dispersed within, and water is introduced into the inner part of the polymer structure so that the polymer is solidified and water-soluble granules are washed out to obtain a porous polymer material. According to the invention, single or multiple layers of porous polymer material with different apertures, porosities, or made with different materials, are obtained by combining different polymer materials and water-soluble granules having different particle sizes in different weight ratios.

  • Publication number: 20030109034
Abstract: The method for tissue culture in vitro of the present invention is to partially digest the tissue blocks via enzyme, and then seed the partially digested tissue blocks into the hollow cavity of the porous chamber, wherein tissue grow three-dimensionally inside-out toward the surrounding pores of the porous chamber, thus new tissue is proliferated directly with the original tissue form, a method that cultures tissue needed in vitro by using the smallest quantity of tissue within the shortest period of time.

  • Publication number: 20010043565
Abstract: A switch controller using a congestion control method can relieve congestion in a network. The Ethernet switch controller has the capacity to select a suitable congestion control mode according to each connection port and state of the connected device. If a flow control mode is selected, the switch controller issues a flow control frame and waits for the passing of a guard period roughly equivalent to a period of about inputting three packets. If the connected device continues to transmit network packets after the guard period, the switch controller switches from the flow control mode to a drop control mode. Hence, the received packets are discarded and congestion is prevented. Consequently, the switch controller of this invention can still carry out congestion control operation when the switch controller is connected to a device having no standard flow control capability.
