  • Publication number: 20240394063
Abstract: A method and a system for predicting a branch are provided. The method includes reading a branch target buffer that stores a plurality of reference program counter (PC) values and a plurality of prediction target addresses. The reference PC values include plurality of history PC values of a plurality of history instructions that are executed before a plurality of branch instructions, and the plurality of prediction target addresses corresponding to the plurality of history PC values are a plurality of target addresses of the plurality of branch instructions, respectively. The method then checks that a PC value of a first instruction that enters an instruction fetch stage matches with a history PC value of a history instruction executed before a branch instruction, for obtaining beforehand a branch target address of a second instruction that is executed after the first instruction.

  • Publication number: 20230350686
Abstract: A logic circuit and a method for checking and updating program counter (PC) values in a pipeline architecture are provided. The logic circuit includes a checking circuit and a PC value determination circuit. The checking circuit checks a continuity of a current PC value and multiple flags related to a branch predictor, in order to generate a checking result, where the branch predictor is configured to control the multiple flags according to the current PC value. The PC value determination circuit selects one of multiple candidate PC values to be a subsequent PC value according to the checking result, where the current PC value corresponds to a current instruction, and the subsequent PC value corresponds to a subsequent instruction after the current instruction.

  • Publication number: 20140083931
Abstract: This invention discloses an anti-biofouling membrane for water-treatment. The anti-biofouling membrane for water-treatment comprises a substrate, and an anti-biofouling copolymer on the substrate. The anti-biofouling copolymer comprises a plurality of hydrophobic groups and a plurality of hydrophilic groups. The anti-biofouling copolymer can be stably coated on the surface of the substrate by the hydrophobic groups. And the hydrophilic groups can help the anti-biofouling membrane to present excellent anti-biofouling capability. Preferably, the anti-biofouling copolymer coated on the substrate will not decrease the permeability of the substrate. More preferably, the presented capability of the mentioned anti-biofouling membrane for water-treatment can achieve the commercial level filtering membrane.
