The non-volatile memory storage device is a USB client device, although data access from a host apparatus is conducted by the PCIe interface. The virtual USB host controller comprising: a set of Registers, a Finite State Machine and a virtual USB wrapper implements a high speed storage device with USB client device through the PCIe interface.
