Abstract: An hinge assembly for an image forming apparatus comprises a hinge case (102), an elastic member (104) disposed in the hinge case (102), a first sliding member (106) to engage with a first side of the elastic member (104), a second sliding member (108) to engage with a second side of the elastic member. Further, the hinge assembly may comprise a first hinge arm (110) to engage with the first sliding member (106) such that the first sliding member (106) may compressively engage with the elastic member (104) during rotation of the first hinge arm (110) relative to the hinge case (102). Furthermore, the hinge assembly may comprise a second hinge arm (112) to engage with the second sliding member (108) such that the second sliding member (108) may compressively engage with the elastic member (104) during rotation of the second hinge arm (112) relative to the hinge case (102). An image forming apparatus comprising the hinge assembly also is described.

Abstract: The present subject matter describes a system for air supply in an imaging device. In an example implementation, the system includes a mounting assembly to house a fan of the imaging device. The mounting assembly has at least two outlets to discharge air blown by the fan. The system further includes a first air guide and a second air guide. The first air guide is coupled to one of the at least two outlets to supply air from the fan to internal electrical components of the imaging device to dissipate heat generated by the internal electrical components. The second air guide is coupled to the other of the at least two outlets to supply air from the fan to a media output region of the imaging device to dissipate moisture in air escaping from the imaging device at the media output region.

Abstract: A method for generating an alert to enable a user to retrieve a printed document from an image scanning device is described. Multiple portions of a digital image of a printed document obtained through the scan task, are identified. Thereafter, movement of a scan-head assembly of an image scanning device is controlled so as to position the scan-head assembly over a target area of the printed document. The scan-head assembly may be activated to capture a reference image and a series of verification images of the target area of the printed document. Thereafter, the reference image and each of the series of images are compared. Based on the comparison, an alert is generated, wherein the alert is to indicate that the printed document is to be retrieved from the scanning device.
