    Abstract: A board-to-board connector assembly consists of a plug and receptacle connector. The receptacle connector has a first dielectric housing having a front wall defining a recess with a flared inlet and a number of first contacts. Each first contact has a contact portion having an arced configuration, a free end resting against a front end of the front wall by a preload to make the contact portion have a tendency moving toward the recess, and a terminal portion extending through a locating block integrally formed at a rear side of the housing. The plug connector has a second dielectric housing defining a projection and a number of second contacts. Each second contact has a contact portion, a free end, a protrusion between the contact portion and the free end and a terminal portion extending through a locating block integrally formed at a rear side of the second housing.

    Abstract: A stacked card connector (1) includes two insulative housings (10, 11) each having a contact receiving chamber (101) defining a number of contact receiving holes (1013) therethrough for receiving a number of contacts (13). A grounding plate (12) is mounted above each contact receiving chamber (101) for shielding the contacts (13). An ejecting means (16) is connected to each housing (10, 11) for guiding a card to be received in the connector (1) and for ejecting the inserted card. The contacts (13) of each housing (10, 11) are aligned with and inserted in through holes (21) defined through a corresponding daughter board (14) by means of a guiding and fastening means (2) which also securely retains each daughter board (14) at an end of each housing (10, 11). After soldering the contacts (13) and the grounding plates (12) to the corresponding firmly secured daughter board (14), each daughter board (14) is received in a corresponding slot which is mounted to a mother board.

    Abstract: An ejector mechanism for a card connector (1) is disclosed. The connector has an elongate housing (101) fixedly receiving a number of contacts (11). The housing has a bottom face for proximity to a PCB (3) on which the connector is mounted and a top face. The connector further includes a lower shielding (15) fixed to the bottom face, an upper shielding (13) fixed to the top face and a guiding frame (12) fixed to lateral ends of the housing for guiding a card into/out of the connector. The ejector mechanism has a push-rod reciprocally mounted on the guiding frame. The push-rod has a distal end (1211) with an L-shaped configuration defining a hole (1214) between a horizontal section (1213) and a vertical section (1212) thereof and a proximal end (1221) for receiving a push force. An ejector lever 1120 is pivotably mounted on the lower shielding member and has a force-receiving end (1121) bent away from the lower shielding member into the hole in the distal end of the push-rod.

    Abstract: A board adapter for electrically connecting an electrical card connector to a mother board, comprises 68 signal holes, 100 conductive pads, a plurality of signal traces, a first grounding means, a transforming unit and a second grounding contact. The first grounding contact surrounds the signal holes and is electrically connected with a corresponding grounding contact of the electrical connector, for providing the signal holes and the electrical connector with grounding protection. The second grounding contact is alternately juxtaposed with every two of the signal traces for providing grounding protection. The conductive pads are electrically connected with either the signal traces or the grounding contacts. The transforming unit includes two power traces to separately bear two different strength voltage induced currents. When either of the traces bears a corresponding voltage induced current, the other trace can be transformed into a grounding trace to protect the bearing trace.

    Abstract: A holding device (10) for gripping a pair of spaced receptacle connectors (50) in a parallel relation, includes a plate-like body (12) having defining two side portions (14) for respectively retaining the two connectors (50) thereto. A pair of guidance channels (22) are provided at two opposite ends of the body (12) for cooperation with the end projections (54) on the connector (50). A pair of bosses (26) are respectively disposed about the corresponding channels (22) for restraining and aligning the lengthwise position of the connector (50) with regard to the holding device (10). Transverse ribs (28) are formed on the body (12) for abutment with the top surface (56) of the connector (50). Therefore, the connector (50) can be reliably and efficiently retained by the holding device (10) for moving to the specific predetermined position on the PC board through a suction nozzle of a robot arm.

The female connector includes a connector body (3) with a number of parallel contact terminal containing spaces (32) extending in a direction perpendicular both to the longitudinal axis and the bottom of the body.
