  • Patent number: 10318701
Abstract: A system is provided with a memory device and a processor. The memory device is adapted to store data representative of a multi-valued decision diagram (MDD) specifying a buildable space of all possible configurations of a vehicle. The processor is in communication with the memory and is programmed to identify an invalid configuration, and to generate a restricted buildable space, including to determine an edit distance of each complete path indicative of a number of features to change the invalid configuration of that path to one of the valid configurations, identify a minimum of the edit distances, and remove configurations having edit distances larger than the minimum. The processor is further programmed to identify at least one feature to change the invalid configuration to at least one valid configuration based on the restricted buildable space; and to generate output indicative of the at least one feature to change.

  • Publication number: 20190164772
Abstract: A method of reducing corner rounding during patterning of a substrate to form a prescribed pattern comprising a corner includes dividing the pattern into a first pattern and a second pattern, the first pattern forming a first edge of the corner and the second pattern forming a second edge of the corner. At least a portion of the second pattern overlaps the first pattern such that the first edge intersects with the second edge to form a corner of the prescribed pattern. The method further includes forming the first pattern in a first mask layer disposed on a substrate to expose the substrate and forming the second pattern in the first mask layer to expose the substrate. The substrate exposed through the first mask layer is then etched to obtain the pattern.

  • Patent number: 6226568
Abstract: A method of rapidly balancing air flows in a complex paint spray booth having a series of cells supplied by a common air flow that is pushed by an adjustable speed supply fan and then divided into downdrafts for each of the said cells accompanied by cross-flows between said cells. The downdrafts and cross-flows converging into exhaust flows drawn by an adjustable speed exhaust fan, the system having control elements for changing the downdrafts and/or cross-flows, and further having means for passing the exhaust flow through a waste paint water scrubber having an adjustable venturi gap width.

  • Patent number: 6139421
Abstract: A paint spray cell and air plenum assembly, comprising (a) a paint spray cell having a perforate air inlet wall occupying at least a substantial portion of one side of the cell and having at least one electrostatic paint sprayer to direct charged spray particles along a desired path to a receptive target, (b) a plenum having an undivided air supply and an outlet joined to the cell inlet wall to admit the air uniformly therethrough, and (c) variable density filter media at the plenum outlet to create differential velocity flows through said inlet wall that affect paint particles differently in different locations to both optimize paint transfer efficiency to the target and reduce paint particle adherence to objects other than the target.
