  • Publication number: 20240017711
Abstract: Provided is a vehicle including an internal combustion engine, a generator a traction battery, a relay, an electric motor, an auxiliary battery, an electric heater, and a controller. The controller is configured to place the relay in a cut-off state when, at the time of the internal combustion engine being started, temperature of the traction battery is lower than a first predetermined temperature, and charging the auxiliary battery with electric power generated by the generator, and supply the electric power generated by the generator to the electric heater to raise the temperature of the traction battery, until the temperature of the traction battery exceeds a second predetermined temperature that is higher than the first predetermined temperature.

  • Patent number: 8473178
Abstract: An ECU executes a program including: detecting an amount of an aqueous urea solution; setting a predetermined operation line if the solution amount is equal to or more than 15%; setting a predetermined operation line if the solution amount is equal to or more than 10%; setting a predetermined operation line if the solution amount is less than 10%; controlling an engine based on a set operation line; controlling a motor generator; calculating a degree of deterioration of fuel efficiency; and performing display control.

  • Patent number: 8423212
Abstract: A control apparatus for a vehicle that includes an internal combustion engine, a fuel tank, a canister trapping vaporized fuel from the fuel tank, an open-close valve provided in a passage connecting an intake passage of the engine to the canister, a generator driven by the engine to generate electric power, a battery storing electric power generated by the generator, and a motor driven by electric power discharged from the battery, and that runs using driving force from at least any one of the engine and the motor, includes: a determination unit determining whether to control the open-close valve to introduce the trapped fuel into the intake passage; and a charge and discharge controller executing changes any one of the rate of charging of the battery and the rate of discharging of the battery when the determination unit determines to introduce the trapped fuel into the intake passage.

  • Patent number: 8220573
Abstract: A hybrid vehicle includes a fuel tank for storing fuel for an engine, a circulation system (a pump), a first path, a pressure regulator, and a second path for circulating the fuel, and a control device (hybrid control unit). When the hybrid vehicle is in a vehicular state that satisfies a predetermined condition, the control device controls the hybrid vehicle so that it performs EV traveling (electrical vehicle traveling) in which wheels are driven by a rotating electrical machine with the engine stopped. When the stop period of the engine is equal to or longer than a predetermined period, the control device drives the circulation system to circulate the fuel.

  • Publication number: 20100140001
Abstract: A hybrid vehicle includes a fuel tank (180) for storing fuel (FL) for an engine (2), a circulation system (a pump (186), a first path (187), a pressure regulator (130), and a second path (184)) for circulating the fuel (FL), and a control device (hybrid control unit (62)). When the hybrid vehicle is in a vehicular state that satisfies a predetermined condition, the control device controls the hybrid vehicle so that it performs EV traveling (electrical vehicle traveling) in which wheels are driven by a rotating electrical machine with the engine (2) stopped. When the stop period of the engine (2) is equal to or longer than a predetermined period, the control device drives the circulation system to circulate the fuel (FL).
