Abstract: A system and method to select a print area to be printed from a document, to search the selected print area for blank areas, and to print and/or store the selected print area, having a size of the searched blank areas turned into a predetermined size or other space marker. Thus, the number of printed pages is reduced by printing only parts of documents in which there exists data for printout. Similarly, readability is improved, and comparison of data with other documents is facilitated. Further, a user can easily select certain content titles in a document for printing and/or storage while skipping underlying data content, and so on, so as to increase the user's satisfaction with printout results.

Abstract: A user terminal device having a spooling control function and a control method thereof, the user terminal device comprising a spooling part to spool print data, a monitoring part to monitor the image forming apparatus, and a driver part to compare time when the print data is input to the spooling part with present time if the image forming apparatus is determined to be available by the monitoring part, and to determine whether to process a printing job for the print data according to a comparison result between the input time and the present time. Accordingly, unnecessary print data stored in the spooler can be prevented from printing.

Abstract: A printing control apparatus and a method of setting a paper feed standby time during a printing operation in a manual paper feed mode includes a printer driver which transmits a document to print and generates a command regarding a preset paper feed standby time, and a communication interface which transmits the transmitted document and the command regarding the paper feed standby time to the printing apparatus. In the printing control apparatus, a user does not have to press a print start button to save time to print the document. Since the setting of the paper feed standby time is simplified, the user can set the paper feed standby time with ease and the overall printing time can be shortened.

Abstract: A printing apparatus and method enabled to save a print option and print a document file, comprises the steps of loading an interface relating to a driver program so as to set a print option of a file to be printed in an application program; and changing a print option through a print option setup menu in the interface, and executing a print command with respect to the file to be printed in the print option setup menu. Accordingly, after changing the print option in the application program, the user can print a document file with a minimal key manipulation.
