    Abstract: Generate, for each of the words of a common vocabulary of first and second text corpora, a first word embedding vector in the first text corpus and a second word embedding vector in the second text corpus. Generate, for each word in a random sample of non-landmark words, an artificially shifted word embedding vector by modifying the first word embedding vector for that word. Train a machine learning classifier to predict whether an artificial shift has been injected for a given word, based on the artificially shifted word embedding vector and the second word embedding vector for the given word. Predict semantic shifts for at least a plurality of the words of the common vocabulary by providing the first word embedding vectors and the second word embedding vectors for at least the plurality of the words of the common vocabulary as input to the trained machine learning classifier.

    Abstract: An electronic device coupled to a display includes a graphics card and a processor. The graphics card reads the extended display identification data from the display. The processor determines, according to the extended display identification data, that the display is able to display a default resolution at a first refresh rate at most, and determines, according to the extended display identification data, whether the display device is able to display the default resolution at a second refresh rate that exceeds the first refresh rate. When it is determined that the display is able to display the default resolution at the second refresh rate, the processor adds the second refresh rate into the extended display identification data.

    Abstract: A method for preparing a low migration plasticizer of di-2-ethylhexyl phthalate is provided. The method includes a step of adding at least one short chain alcohol component and at least one long chain alcohol component in an esterification reaction between terephthalic acid and 2-ethylhexanol, so as to graft modify a resulting di-2-ethylhexyl phthalate. The esterification reaction is carried out under a temperature from 30° C. to 225° C. and a pressure from 80 mbar to 1033 mbar.

    Abstract: A lens driving module is configured to provide an imaging lens system with auto-focus functionality. The imaging lens system is disposed between a preloading element and a driving base of the lens driving module. The preloading element includes an injection molded part and a ferromagnetic part partially embedded in the injection molded part. A rollable element is disposed in each of mounting structures of the injection molded part and in contact with a displaceable lens carrier of the imaging lens system. The ferromagnetic part and a magnet disposed on the displaceable lens carrier together generate a magnetic attraction force, such that the displaceable lens carrier exerts a preloading force on the rollable element. The driving base includes a driving coil and an electrical wiring pattern. The driving coil corresponds to the magnet for generating a driving force to drive the displaceable lens carrier to move along the optical axis.

    Abstract: A hem length adjusting device for a window blind without exposed pull cord includes a base, a first worm shaft disposed in the base, and a second worm shaft disposed in the base.     Abstract: An integrated circuit having a fingered capacitor with multiple metal fingers formed in inverted-trapezoid-shaped trenches in a multi-layer structure having a polish stop layer over an ultra-low-K dielectric layer over a low-K dielectric layer over a dielectric cap layer. The ultra-low-K dielectric layer reduces capacitance variations between the fingers, while the polish stop layer prevents metal height variations that would otherwise result from performing CMP directly on the ultra-low-K dielectric layer. The layered structure may include another low-K dielectric layer over the polish stop layer that provides a soft landing for the CMP. The polish stop layer may be removed after the CMP polishing and another ultra-low-K dielectric layer may be formed to encapsulate the tops of the metal fingers in the ultra-low-K dielectric material.
