The method includes the steps of: providing a capacitive humidity detection unit to be placed on a diaper, wherein the capacitive humidity detection unit is configured to detect a humidity of the diaper to generate a capacitance value; providing a processing unit to record an environmental capacitance value, wherein when the processing unit receives the capacitance value, it compares the capacitance value with the environmental capacitance value, when the capacitance value is greater than the environmental capacitance value, the processing unit generates a reminder signal; providing a reminder unit to generate a reminder when receiving the reminder signal. The urine detection device is used for performing the urine detection method.
