    Abstract: A correction control apparatus outputs a blur correction amount associated with an image blur with respect to a group of captured images. The apparatus obtains status information indicating an image capture status of the group of images, obtains a result of detection of a motion blur with respect to the group of images, derives the blur correction amount based on the obtained result, outputs the blur correction amount and controls a method of derivation of the blur correction amount. The apparatus includes a filter that extracts components of a first frequency band from the result, and derives the blur correction amount based on the components of the first frequency band associated with the motion blur extracted by the filter, and causes the first frequency band extracted by the filter to vary in accordance with the obtained status information.

    Abstract: An evaluation method of an image stabilization effect of an imaging device includes calculating an evaluation value of the image stabilization effect on the basis of shutter speed values in case of which each of a reference shake amount theoretically calculated on the basis of a shake waveform applied to the imaging device and a measured shake amount calculated using an image captured in a state in which the imaging device is vibrated becomes a specified shake amount, and setting the specified shake amount. The setting includes calculating an image deterioration amount of the imaging device caused by something other than a shake from the outside, and selecting a determination level that defines the specified shake amount from a plurality of determination levels having different shake amounts on the basis of the image deterioration amount.

    Abstract: A double head supporting mechanism for a magnetic disk drive including an arm body and a carriage. The arm body includes an upper arm and a lower arm which are supported at their rear ends in a mutually rotatable manner. Both arms support an upper head and a lower head, respectively. Both of these heads hold a magnetic disk from both sides, at a mutually facing position, by having the magnetic disk inserted between them. The carriage is able to make reciprocal movement along the direction of the disk diameter. The arm body is held on its rear end side by the carriage in such a manner that it can swing freely by means of a common supporting spring. Both heads are constructed with a design so that they can follow the vertical deviation of the magnetic disk caused during rotation of the disk. The carriage is provided with a stopper to stop the lower arm from moving excessively.
