    Abstract: Disclosed is an exercise signal receiver system with a personal portable unit as a relay transmitter. Users, when using individual exercise devices, each put on a portable unit to transmit a wireless body signal and a wireless identification code of each user to a common receiving station. The common receiving station receives the identification code of each portable unit and a body signal corresponding to the identification code. The portable units also receive device signals and transmit the device signals to the common receiving station. The common receiving station is connectable via a data input/output interface to a terminal device.

    Abstract: A reflective back cover made of plastic material having micro cellular structures is processed by compression molding and cutting so as to have a monolithical structure. The white material of the reflective back cover reflects lights such that the back cover can be an integral component featuring multiple functions of various components. With the thickness control of the reflective back cover, a concave can be formed at the side of the back cover where a light source is contained and the concave further retains the light source and its flexible printed circuit board. With the incorporation of the reflective back cover, the thickness of the backlight module can be reduced and a reliable and repetitive manufacturing of the backlight module can be introduced.

A first photolithography process is performed to define a first pattern on the substrate. The first pattern includes a first trench segment. A second photolithography process is performed which defines a second pattern on the substrate. The second pattern includes a second trench segment. The second trench segment includes an overlap area with the first trench segment. The embodiment of the method further includes etching the substrate according the first and second patterns; the etching includes forming a via hole defined by the overlap area. The first trench segment, second trench segment, and via hole may be used to form a dual damascene interconnect structure.

    Abstract: Disclosed is a wristwatch type acceleration detection module for measurement of exercise quantity, including a microprocessor, an acceleration sensor, a timer, a hand-swing-acceleration-vs-pace-span database, and a display device. The acceleration sensor detects a hand swing count of the user in movement and an acceleration induced by the hand swinging. The timer measures a time period when the user is in movement. The microprocessor receives the hand swing acceleration and the hand-swing-acceleration-vs-pace-span plot stored in the hand-swing-acceleration-vs-pace-span database to obtain the corresponding pace span and further computes a moving distance and a moving speed of the user through predetermined formula based on the pace span, the hand swing count, and the time period of movement of the user.
