Abstract: A housing for enclosing an electronic element of an electronic device is formed of plastic material without electromagnetic waves shielding capability and includes a first hole for injecting fluid of nonconductive, non-corrosive, and high heat transfer capability (e.g., silicon oil or hydro oil) or a semisolid substance having similar properties thereinto, a second hole for evacuating air, and two stop members inserted in the holes for sealing after the injection. The electronic element is adapted to be waterproof and vibration-proof, and has a predetermined heat dissipation capability.

Abstract: A multi-functional and portable personal emergency SOS device is provided. The emergency SOS device includes a control module, a human machine interface module, a communication channel module, a circumstance detecting module and a physical condition detecting module. When the user is encountering an accident or a particular situation, said emergency SOS device according to the present invention can send out a mayday signal including an ID, a position or physical conditions of the user through one or more different communication channel medium manually or automatically so that the searching and rescuing can process quickly.

Abstract: A transceiver as a locator mounted in a device (e.g., watch or bracelet) worn on the wrist of, for example, an elderly person is disclosed. The device comprises an antenna assembly including a plurality of antenna elements, the antenna elements being spaced apart and electrically coupled together. The transceiver comprises circuit means adapted to transmit or receive RF signals to or from a cell-site or a satellite based GPS through the antenna assembly for calling for help in case of emergency.

Abstract: A portable antenna assembly is disclosed. The assembly comprises a plurality of antenna elements spaced apart either around a bracelet or around a transparent covering of a watch, a dial surface of the watch, an outer surface of each link of a watchband, and an outer surface of each of two end snapping members of the watchband. The antenna elements are electrically coupled together. The assembly further comprises circuit means (e.g., IC) electrically coupled to either end antenna element. The antenna assembly is adapted to send and receive electromagnetic waves for carrying out a wireless communication with a device. Also, the antenna element can be implemented as a patch antenna, a metal piece antenna, a metal wire antenna, a PCB antenna, a ceramic antenna, a chip antenna, or a combination thereof.
