The controller is configured to initiate movement of a package container from the storage unit to the first drone and to initiate coupling of a first electromechanical interface of a plurality of electromechanical interfaces of the package container to the first drone. The controller is also configured to release the first drone from the vehicle with instructions for the first drone to move the package container to a package container reception point configured to couple to a second electromechanical interface of the plurality of electromechanical interfaces. The second drone is configured to provide data to the first drone. The data is related to a route from the vehicle to the package container reception point.

The processor is also configured to store a trial start time that is based on the first time. The processor is configured to, based at least in part on receiving a return request via the user interface and detecting that the cover is in the closed state, store a second time as a trial end time and send a transportation request to a delivery management server to initiate transportation of the package container.

The management metadata may include information identifying the mobile device. The metadata may include a gateway key part and a mobile key part which, in combination, are sufficient to decrypt information encrypted with the management split key. The device manager may encrypt the management metadata using the management split key. The device manager may send the gateway key part and the encrypted management metadata to the gateway and the mobile key part to the mobile device. Subsequent delivery of the mobile key part to the gateway, by the mobile device, enables the gateway to decrypt the encrypted management metadata and recognize the mobile device as a management device delegate sanctioned by the device manager to perform delegated management of the gateway.

The risk assessment incorporates contextual and behavioral data provided by the IHS where the data describes file operations by the IHS, the physical use of the IHS, system information that describes the platform of the IHS and hardware installed on the IHS and data backup procedures implemented by the IHS. Based on the data associated with an IHS, a scoring algorithm determines a behavioral risk of loss that reflects the use of the IHS and a contextual risk of loss that reflects user input to individual files, thus indicating the time required to recreate a file. The backup procedures implemented by the IHS are then evaluated in light of the determined risk assessment. Backup procedure recommendations that mitigate the identified risks are provided to the IHS.
