Abstract: An efficiency tracking method of a controller applied to a flyback power converter includes before the controller soft starts, an original frequency variation curve setting voltage generated by the controller outputting an original frequency variation curve setting detection current to an original frequency variation curve setting detection resistor determining a frequency variation curve of the flyback power converter, and utilizing adjustment of resistance of the original frequency variation curve setting detection resistor to achieve efficiency optimization. Therefore, the controller controls an output voltage of the flyback power converter and tracks a maximum power point of the flyback power converter according to the efficiency tracking method to achieve efficiency optimization.

Abstract: A TV advertisement server (TA server) and method of providing advertising-on-demand includes a TV, a set-top-box (STB) connected with the TV, and connected with the STB. When the STB sends a request to download a TA list, the TA server sends the TA list to the STB for a user selecting one or more desired TV advertisements. The TA server may generate a new TA list according to the selection and acquire the selected TV advertisements from a storage device. The acquired TV advertisements may be transmitted to the STB and broadcasted on the TV.

Abstract: An electronic device provides an electronic program guide, viewable on a screen providing a plurality of display areas. The electronic program guide includes a plurality of first options, a main option, and a plurality of second options. When one of the first options is selected, first sub-options of the selected first option are displayed on a first display area, the first options are moved from the first to a second display area, and the main option is moved from the second to a third display area. When a second option is selected, second sub-options of the selected second option are displayed on the third display area, the second options are moved from the third to the second display area, and the main option is moved from the second to the first display area.

Abstract: The disclosure relates to a hierarchical PCI (peripheral component interconnect) bus architecture, particularly to a hierarchical PCI bus architecture applied to the VOD (video on demand) system in an Ethernet Network. The architecture includes a plurality of PCI banks, at least a SCSI bank, and a plurality of PCI bridges. Each PCI bank connects a logic processor via at least one PCI bridge, also connects the SCSI bank via at least one PCI bridge. The logic processor receives video demand signals from users, and sends a service command block to the SCSI bank, for the SCSI bank to retrieve, according to the service command block and from a data storage bank, the video data demanded by the users, and sends the demanded video data to a memory of a PCI bank, so that the demanded video data is transmitted by the PCI bank from the memory to users via a network.
