  • Publication number: 20080133217
Abstract: A method and an apparatus for learning the English vocabulary are provided. First a vocabulary database is provided in the present invention. A word is selected from the database to be taken apart into other alphabet strings. Then, the alphabet strings taken apart from the selected word are searched for in the database to see if they exist in it. If yes, the search results are thus displayed. Hence, the method and the apparatus deepen the impression of the English vocabulary on the users and help them memorize the vocabulary and not easily confuse one word with another.

  • Patent number: 7024458
Abstract: A system and a method for managing mails and files are proposed, which are applied to a network environment e.g. Internet, allowing received mails or files to be classified and systematically stored in a database, according to receiver's group, mail subject, file name and type, and/or sender's address. This therefore allows an authorized user to efficiently search mails or files from the database in response to receiver's group, mail subject, file name and type, and/or sender's address provided by the user, so that the desired mails or files can be quickly retrieved.

  • Publication number: 20030115499
Abstract: An electronic data exchange platform fault warning system and method with a file reception/sending record data structure therefor is proposed, which is devised for use with an electronic data exchange (EDI) platform for the purpose of automatically detecting whether the EDI platform operates normally, and in the event of an EDI fault condition, generating a warning signal to inform EDI system administrators or related personnel to carry out necessary maintenance work. The proposed system and method functions in such a manner that if the EDI platform sends or receives no EDI files for an exceedingly long time duration, then a warning message is promptly generated and transferred to a pre-specified group of EDI-related workstations and/or portable communication devices. Any one who sees the warning message first can then immediately notify the maintenance personnel to perform maintenance work on the faulted EDI platform.

  • Publication number: 20030041245
Abstract: A system and a method of network file transmission are proposed, in which files for transmission can be encoded and assigned with digital signatures, allowing users to authenticate the digital signatures, and to securely transmit and receive the encoded files through Internet, without connecting to a cyber telephonic network. Since file transmission is performed through Internet, it is not limitedly applied to particular transmission networks, and can also desirably reduce costs of network communication.
