Abstract: A device a includes a substrate, two source/drain (S/D) features over the substrate, and semiconductor layers suspended over the substrate and connecting the two S/D features. The device further includes a dielectric layer disposed between two adjacent layers of the semiconductor layers and an air gap between the dielectric layer and one of the S/D features, where a ratio between a length of the air gap to a thickness of the first dielectric layer is in a range of 0.1 to 1.0.

Abstract: Semiconductor structures and methods are provided. A semiconductor structure according to the present disclosure includes a first active region extending lengthwise along a first direction and having a first width along a second direction perpendicular to the first direction, a second active region extending lengthwise along the first direction and having a second width along the second direction, and an epitaxial feature sandwiched between the first active region and the second active region along the first direction. The first width is greater than the second width.

Abstract: An integrated circuit (IC) structure includes a gate structure, a source epitaxial structure, a drain epitaxial structure, a front-side interconnection structure, a backside dielectric layer, and a backside via. The source epitaxial structure and the drain epitaxial structure are respectively on opposite sides of the gate structure. The front-side interconnection structure is on a front-side of the source epitaxial structure and a front-side of the drain epitaxial structure. The backside dielectric layer is on a backside of the source epitaxial structure and a backside of the drain epitaxial structure and has an air gap therein. The backside via extends through the backside dielectric layer to a first one of the source epitaxial structure and the drain epitaxial structure.

Abstract: Methods, software, apparatus, and systems for reading a recordable optical disc. The method generally comprises the steps of (a) determining whether a lead-in area on the disc contains valid lead-in data and, when the lead-in area does not contain valid lead-in data, and (b) searching an area on the disc (e.g., searching for directory data, such as RSAT or VAT data). The present invention advantageously allows a disc playback device (e.g., a DVD player) to locate disc type information even on discs that are unfinalized (e.g., where no lead-in data has been recorded in the lead-in area of the disc).

Abstract: A pneumatic tool includes a housing of a cylinder, a rotor and at least a blade. The housing of the cylinder has an inner wall. The rotor is disposed inside the housing of the cylinder. The rotor has at least a slit. The blade is movably inserted into the slit. The blade includes a solid lubricant, at least an oil-bearing trough and a counterweight. The solid lubricant is disposed on a contacting surface near the inner wall. When the blade is flung out from the slit, the solid lubricant is against the inner wall. The oil-bearing trough is disposed on the contacting surface for storing oil to lubricate the contacting surface and the inner wall. The counterweight is disposed inside the blade near the inner wall for increasing a force to fling the blade out from the slit.

An exemplary embodiment of a method for controlling a user interface of a consumer electronic device, including a plurality of I/O interfaces for communication with a plurality of data sources, is disclosed. The method comprises: utilizing the user interface to display a content list of a first data source present in the consumer electronic device if the first data source is active; and when a second data source is added to the consumer electronic device and then actively selected, utilizing the same user interface to display a content list of the second data source.

Abstract: A lock structure having multiple anti-theft measures includes a lock body, a key and an electronic anti-theft device. The invention is characterized that, the lock body has an inner tube internally disposed with three spring pegs having different lengths and two lock cylinder pegs; outer walls of the spring pegs are disposed with protruding posts for corresponding with depths of grooves at a front end of the key; the lock cylinder pegs are connected with a central lock cylinder; rear ends of the five pegs are all connected with the electronic anti-theft device; and a long needle and a middle needle projecting from a front end of the key are supported against the lock cylinder. Using the structure, when the key having an exact length is inserted in an appropriate direction into the lock body, the lock structure is successfully unlocked without triggering the electronic anti-theft device.
