The first communication is processed to identify an application that the communication is directed to, The first communication is provided to an application extension engine associated with the first application. A second communication is received from the application extension engine. The second communication is provided to the interaction engine.

Abstract: A system is provided for presenting content on a companion computing device associated with a primary computing device. A web-resource micro-app package is configured, when operating in concert with a companion manager executing on the primary computing device, to control the delivery and presentation of content on the companion computing device. The web-resource micro-app package is cross-platform and thus operable, without modification, with any of a number of different operating systems with which the companion manager and primary computing device might be associated. The web-resource micro-app package includes a location of a web-resource, identification of predetermined content items to be extracted from the web-resource, and presentation parameters for formatting a content group including at least some of the predetermined content items for presentation on the companion computing device.
