  • Patent number: 9580139
Abstract: An electric kick scooter including a scooter body, a drive device and a strain gauge is provided. The scooter body has a foot plate, a steering tube and a rear wheel respectively provided at front and rear ends of the foot plate, and a handle bar and a front wheel respectively provided at top and bottom ends of the steering tube. The drive device has a motor installed in the front wheel or rear wheel, and a battery installed with the scooter body and electrically connected to the motor. The strain gauge is attached to the steering tube or handle bar of the scooter body to sense the strain generated on the steering tube or handle bar when it receives a force. The strain signal of the strain gauge is transmitted to a controller for enabling the controller to control an action of the motor accordingly.

  • Patent number: 8532857
Abstract: A power-assisted system is to be assembled to a derailleur-equipped bicycle for providing an auxiliary force to the bicycle. The power-assisted system includes: a microcomputer; a pedaling-rate sensor; a bicycle-speed sensor; a shift-position source; and an auxiliary-force database including data about at least a pedaling rate, a running speed, a current gear ratio and the auxiliary force, for defining a ratio between the running speed and the current gear ratio as a first comparison value, and defining the pedaling rate as a second comparison value wherein an auxiliary-force comparison table is made of levels of the auxiliary force to be output corresponding to the first and second comparison values. The microcomputer uses a determining logic circuit to determine the suitable level of the auxiliary force to be output and control the auxiliary-force providing device to output the auxiliary force in the determined level.

  • Patent number: 8091674
Abstract: A torque detecting system for a bottom bracket axle of a power-assisted bicycle includes a torque sensor for being mounted on the bottom bracket axle of the bicycle, a wireless signal transmitter arranged stationarily relative to the bottom bracket axle, and a wireless signal receiver for being arranged at a location of a bicycle frame of the bicycle in proximity to the bottom bracket axle. The wireless signal transmitter is adapted for receiving a detected signal, which is outputted from the torque sensor, and then transmitting the detected signal to the wireless signal receiver wirelessly. In this way, the signal attenuation and the possibility of signal loss of the detected signal can be minimized during the signal transmission, such that the torque applied on the bottom bracket axle by the bicyclist can be detected precisely.

  • Patent number: 6314277
Abstract: An electromagnetic radiation protection device of a mobile phone installed at one side of an antenna of a mobile phone. The device comprises an electromagnetic wave absorbing piece, a dielectric plate, an electronic joint loop, a negative electrode lead, etc. The electromagnetic wave absorbing piece serves to absorb the electromagnetic wave toward the user's head. Then the electromagnetic wave irradiates to the negative electrode lead of a power source through the electronic joint loop and the negative electrode lead. Thereby, the electromagnetic radiation from the mobile phone to user's head will be reduced effectively, and the threat of brain harm is also reduced.
