Abstract: A battery locking mechanism applied in an electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes a casing. The casing defines a receiving portion to receive the battery and the battery locking mechanism. The battery locking mechanism includes a first latching element, a second latching element, a first elastic member and a second elastic member. The first elastic member connects the first latching element to the casing and the second elastic member connects the second latching element to the cover. When the first latching element is latched with the second latching element in a relaxed state, the battery is locked. The second latching element can be moved away from the first latching element by a fingertip until the second latching element loses contact with the first latching element, thus unlocking the battery compartment. An electronic device using the locking mechanism is also provided.

A control method thereof includes steps of: showing a plurality of selection codes by the display unit for a user to observe and give an order according to one of the selection codes; catching images or voices of the order through the order-catching device and delivering the caught order to the control device; interpreting the order to obtain an action code, searching the database, and identifying one of the selection codes identical to the action code by the control device; and transmitting a control signal from the control device to the acting device, with the control signal corresponding to the selection code.

Abstract: A linking apparatus applied to a disk drive with a transmission component and a reading component is provided. The linking apparatus includes an elastic body and a connecting component. The connecting component is movably connected to the transmission component. A side of the elastic body is connected to the reading component, and the other side of the elastic body is connected to the connecting component. When the transmission component transmits the linking apparatus to indirectly drive the reading component and force the connecting component to deflect, the elastic body restores the connecting component to a stable status. The method of manufacturing a linking apparatus includes the following steps. Firstly, a connecting component is injection-molded. Next, an elastic body is stamped. Lastly, the connecting component is connected to a side of the elastic body.

Abstract: A process for removing an oil-in-water emulsion from waste water. The process consists of collecting the emulsion waste water, adding a precipitation reagent with trivalent cations, and adding a base compound to adjust the pH of the waste water. The adjusted waste water converts the dissolved trivalent cations to gelatinous cation hydroxide precipitations and separate the emulsion from the waste water. The process can be enhanced by also utilizing a filtration means to further separate the precipitation from the waste water. The process is designed to reduce the level of the emulsion from 1000 ppm to less than 1 ppm.
