Abstract: A flat panel display apparatus is disclosed. A printed circuit board is secured onto a removable frame, and the inner case is mounted onto the back side of the side bracket binding the inner case and the display panel together. The outer case is fitted against the side bracket allowing the partially assembled display panel to be received in the inner space through a rectangular opening in one side. A supporting base is attached to the back of the outer case to support the display panel. Such construction is able to reduce the volume of the flat panel display device and simplify the electrical wiring connections between the printed circuit board and the display controller, which no longer need to be wired through the inner case thus cutting down the after-servicing costs and simplifying the assembling procedures.

Abstract: A video/audio module for a flat-panel display has a rectangular housing, a circuit board and speakers provided inside the housing, and a cover enclosing the housing. Two fasteners are arranged at opposite sides of the housing, and at least one tenon is formed on the cover. Both the fasteners and the tenon are used for providing a secure connection between the module and the flat-panel display. Further, the circuit board inside the housing is able to receive external video and audio signals and then play those signals respectively by the flat-panel display and the speakers.

Abstract: A stand unit for a flat panel display consists of an L-shaped base, an annular shape hinge member pivotally mounted in a circular recess defined in an upper end of the base, and a swiveling member rotatably mounted around the hinge member and having a flat formed at one side thereof and a plurality of teeth integrally formed around the peripheries excluding the side of the flat. Whereby an LCD screen of the flat panel display is readily assembled on the stand unit by means of the plurality of teeth inserted into a slideway defined in a backside surface of a housing for the LCD screen. A flexible retaining piece integrated on the backside surface of the housing of the LCD screen springs out after the flat of the swiveling member has passed thereby and limits the swiveling member in the slideway.
