In practical application, the flow in a deterioration-effect multi-state flow network may undergo a loss due to deterioration. For example, electrical power will decrease if the transmission distance is too great. Therefore, how to evaluate the reliability of deterioration-effect multi-state flow network becomes an important issue.

The system comprises a storage unit, a universal generation function process unit, a reliability calculating unit, and a judging unit. The feature of the invention is to develop a novel method for evaluation of the reliability based on the disconnectedness between nodes and targets. Therefore, a decision-maker can analyze the network according to the invention and apply the analysis result in lots of applications, such as computer communication system, electronic transmission system, transportation system, etc.
