  • Publication number: 20240128376
Abstract: A device a includes a substrate, two source/drain (S/D) features over the substrate, and semiconductor layers suspended over the substrate and connecting the two S/D features. The device further includes a dielectric layer disposed between two adjacent layers of the semiconductor layers and an air gap between the dielectric layer and one of the S/D features, where a ratio between a length of the air gap to a thickness of the first dielectric layer is in a range of 0.1 to 1.0.

  • Patent number: 11935781
Abstract: An integrated circuit (IC) structure includes a gate structure, a source epitaxial structure, a drain epitaxial structure, a front-side interconnection structure, a backside dielectric layer, and a backside via. The source epitaxial structure and the drain epitaxial structure are respectively on opposite sides of the gate structure. The front-side interconnection structure is on a front-side of the source epitaxial structure and a front-side of the drain epitaxial structure. The backside dielectric layer is on a backside of the source epitaxial structure and a backside of the drain epitaxial structure and has an air gap therein. The backside via extends through the backside dielectric layer to a first one of the source epitaxial structure and the drain epitaxial structure.

  • Publication number: 20210052182
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices are disclosed for monitoring electrical signals of the brain. In one aspect, a system for monitoring electrical brain activity associated with visual field of a user includes a sensor unit to acquire electroencephalogram (EEG) signals including a plurality of EEG sensors attached to a casing attachable to the head of a user, a visual display unit attachable to the head of the user over the user's eyes to present visual stimuli, in which the visual stimuli is configured to evoke multifocal steady-state visual-evoked potentials (mfSSVEP) in the EEG signals exhibited by the user acquired by the sensor unit, and a data processing unit in communication with the sensor unit and the visual display unit to analyze the acquired EEG signals and produce an assessment of the user's visual field, in which the assessment indicates if there is a presence of visual field defects in the user's visual field.

  • Publication number: 20190343458
Abstract: The invention discloses an assembled head-mounted module for sensing brain activity and a head-mounted device for sensing brain activity. The assembled head-mounted module is adapted to be worn on a head of a living body and includes bases and connecting strips. Each base has a hollow portion for accommodating a signal extractor that is configured to extract brain activity signals. The connecting strips are detachably joined to the bases. The bases respectively correspond to portions of the head of the living body suitable for extracting brain activity signals when the assembled head-mounted module is worn on the head of the living body. In the invention, the structure can be flexibly assembled according to practical usage and the components can be joined or disjoined freely, thereby having more flexibility for practical applications.

  • Publication number: 20180103917
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices are disclosed for monitoring electrical signals of the brain. In one aspect, a system for monitoring electrical brain activity associated with visual field of a user includes a sensor unit to acquire electroencephalogram (EEG) signals including a plurality of EEG sensors circumnavigating the head of a user, and a head-mounted frame for docking a personal electronic device over the user's eyes to present visual stimuli, in which the visual stimuli is configured to evoke EEG signals exhibited by the user, in which the assessment indicates if there is a presence of visual field defects in the user's visual field.

  • Publication number: 20090079691
Abstract: A method for positioning a cursor on a computer screen by a handheld camera shooting continuous images to detect movements of user's hand is disclosed. In a preferred embodiment, the camera is disposed in a handheld device such as laser pointer. The camera shoots a set of serial images of a locale scene and instantly sends to a computer. The computer selects particular feature spots within a first image and records their positions in the image. The computer then search the feature spots in a second image next to the first image. If one of the feature spots can be searched out, a movement of the handheld device can be obtained by calculating relatively positional change of the feature spot in between the two images. The computer can drive the cursor to move correspondingly. If no feature spots can be searched out, the computer abandons the selected feature spots and then selects new feature spots in the second image and search the new feature spots in a third image.
