Abstract: A method of circuit breaker control includes determining if a trip event for a circuit breaker has occurred, determining a set of redundancy parameters for the circuit breaker, and transmitting a trip signal and a shunt trip signal to the circuit breaker based on the set of redundancy parameters.

Abstract: Embodiments of the subject invention relate to a method and apparatus for providing a low-power AC/DC converter designed to operate with very low input voltage amplitudes. Specific embodiments can operate with input voltages less than or equal to 1 V, less than or equal to 200 mV, and as low as 20 mV, respectively. Embodiments of the subject low-power AC/DC converter can be utilized in magnetic induction energy harvester systems. With reference to a specific embodiment, a maximum efficiency of 92% was achieved for a 1 V input, and efficiencies exceeding 70% were achieved for a 200 mV input. A specific embodiment functioned properly when connected to a magnetic energy harvester device operating below 200 mV input.

Abstract: Embodiments of the invention relate to an input-powered comparator. Embodiments of the invention also pertain to an active diode that includes an input-powered comparator and a switch. In a specific embodiment, the input-powered comparator only consumes power when an input source provides sufficiently high voltage. Embodiments of the active diode can be used in an energy harvesting system. The comparator can be powered by the input and the system can be configured such that the comparator only consumes power when the input is ready to provide power to the load or energy storage element. In a specific embodiment, when there is no input, or the input is too low for harvesting, the comparator does not draw any power from the energy storage element (e.g., battery or capacitor) of the system.

Abstract: A method of route convergence, a routing device, and a main control board in the routing device are provided herein. The method includes receiving route information from multiple neighbor routing devices; selecting a route among the received route information, and applying the selected route to update an FIB of the main control board; and delivering the selected route to an interface board after confirming that the route information from the multiple neighbor routing devices is received and the route selection is completed.

Abstract: A method for route updating includes: a. determining more than one route in accordance with a predetermined preset mechanism and sending the determined more than one route to a client and/or a non-client, by a reflector in a route advertisement, and saving more than one route reaching the same destination address by the client and/or the non-client; and b. sending to the client and/or the non-client a message carrying information on the next hop of the route to be withdrawn, by the reflector in a withdrawal of a route and withdrawing the corresponding route for route updating in accordance with the information on the next hop carried in the message, by the client/the non-client. A system for route updating and a router reflector is also provided.
