    Abstract: The invention provides a DLP micro projector including: a light supply device, including: a LED light source and a light collimation system, and a spectroscope group; a light path switching device, including a fly-eye lens or an optical wand; a lighting optical system, including: a freeform lens or a freeform reflector, and a right angle prism; a DMD light modulator being parallel to a right angle side of the right angle prism; and a projection lens group. The DLP micro projector has a simple and reasonable structure, employs a freeform optical component to replace the conventional planar mirror and relay lens to redirect and converge the beams, and meanwhile compensates the lighting source of the DMD light modulator, thereby simplifying the optical components and reducing the size and weight of the DLP micro projector. The projector features a compact structure, small size, low production cost, and high projection performance.

    Abstract: The current invention discloses methods, applications, and devices for audio transmission from a mobile terminal. After receiving an audio signal transmission request from a user, the mobile terminal may initiate a recording session to record audio signals into audio frames. During the recording session, the terminal may adjust the audio codecs used for encoding the audio frames based on the workload and the performance of the terminal. By measuring and evaluating the encoding time, the terminal may change between using a floating-point AMR audio codec and a fixed-point AMR audio codec. The encoded audio frames are transmitted to a remote server. The current invention provides a flexible and efficient approach for audio signal encoding and transmission, balancing signal integrity and encoding speed at the same time.

    Abstract: A method for forming an enhancement mode GaN HFET device with an isolation area that is self-aligned to a contact opening or metal mask window. Advantageously, the method does not require a dedicated isolation mask and the associated process steps, thus reducing manufacturing costs. The method includes providing an EPI structure including a substrate, a buffer layer a GaN layer and a barrier layer. A dielectric layer is formed over the barrier layer and openings are formed in the dielectric layer for device contact openings and an isolation contact opening. A metal layer is then formed over the dielectric layer and a photoresist film is deposited above each of the device contact openings. The metal layer is then etched to form a metal mask window above the isolation contact opening and the barrier and GaN layer are etched at the portion that is exposed by the isolation contact opening in the dielectric layer.

    Abstract: Enhancement-mode GaN devices having a gate spacer, a gate metal material and a gate compound that are self-aligned, and a methods of forming the same. The materials are patterned and etched using a single photo mask, which reduces manufacturing costs. An interface of the gate spacer and the gate compound has lower leakage than the interface of a dielectric film and the gate compound, thereby reducing gate leakage. In addition, an ohmic contact metal layer is used as a field plate to relieve the electric field at a doped III-V gate compound corner towards the drain contact, which leads to lower gate leakage current and improved gate reliability.
