    Abstract: The present application discloses a method for controlling fingerprint acquisition based on a display screen and a related apparatus, which are applied to a display screen with a fingerprint acquisition function. In the disclosure, by detecting a fingerprint acquisition triggering instruction generated in an electronic device in real time, a preset fingerprint acquisition region of the display screen is controlled to emit light and a fingerprint sensor is triggered to acquire a fingerprint image, if and only if the fingerprint acquisition triggering instruction is detected. When the fingerprint acquisition triggering instruction does not exist, the display screen is not affected and the fingerprint sensor is in a non-operating state so as to save energy.
