Abstract: A basic computing unit includes a processor and a memory, and the basic computing unit communicates with an extension unit through an external interface. The extension unit is configured to extend a function of the basic computing unit. The basic computing unit is further provided with a mounting structure, and the basic computing unit is fastened, via the mounting structure, to a chassis on which the basic computing unit is located. A position of the mounting structure on the basic computing unit is determined based on the processor, the memory, and a stress factor, and positions of mounting structures on basic computing units of different sizes overlap.

Abstract: Example board management systems, methods, and apparatuses are provided. An example board management system includes a baseboard management controller and a computing device board. The computing device board includes a memory and a component manager, where the memory records management information of the computing device board. The memory and the component manager are connected to the baseboard management controller through the management bus. The baseboard management controller is configured to obtain the management information from the memory, and manage the computing device board based on the management information by interacting with the component manager.

Abstract: The motherboard includes a basic computing unit and an extension unit. The basic computing unit is provided with a basic component and an external interface. The extension unit is configured to extend a function of the basic computing unit. The basic computing unit is coupled to a second external interface of the extension unit through a first external interface on the basic computing unit. A conventional motherboard is split, and a basic computing unit that includes only a processor subsystem and an extension unit that extends input/output and management are formed by properly dividing the processor subsystem and a peripheral system. Impact of an extension component on the basic computing unit is reduced, and the extension component can be flexibly replaced based on an actual requirement.

Abstract: This application discloses a fan box, a server system, and a method for adjusting a rotation speed of a fan box, and belongs to the field of server heat dissipation technologies. The fan box provided in embodiments of this application has a plurality of communication interfaces, and each communication interface can be electrically connected to one server board. Therefore, the fan box provided in embodiments of this application can be electrically connected to a plurality of server boards. In addition, a controller in the fan box can adjust a rotation speed of a fan based on a plurality of fan box speed adjustment instructions. Therefore, the fan box provided in embodiments of this application can be controlled by a plurality of master control nodes, and is applicable to a multi-node server system with a central management unit-free architecture, and any server system that requires multi-node master control.
