    Abstract: A method for preparing an AlN based template having a Si substrate and a method for preparing a GaN based epitaxial structure having a Si substrate are provided. The method for preparing the AlN based template having the Si substrate, which includes: providing the Si substrate; growing an AlN nucleation layer on the Si substrate; and introducing an ion passing through the AlN nucleation layer and into the Si substrate. After the AlN nucleation layer is prepared on the Si substrate, the ions are introduced into the Si substrate and the AlN nucleation layer through the AlN nucleation layer. In this way, types of the introduced ions can be expanded. In addition, a carrier concentration at an interface between the Si substrate and the AlN nucleation layer and a carrier concentration in the AlN nucleation layer can also be reduced.

The inverse secondary transform is applicable to the block between a de-quantization step and an inverse primary transform. The reduced dimension is reduced from a dimension of the block, and min and max are integer values. The method also includes performing the conversion based on the determining.

    Abstract: A method for measuring an electron nonextensive parameter of a plasma by using nonextensive statistical mechanics and electric probe is provided. The plasma is described by the nonextensive statistical mechanics and establishes a nonextensive single electric probe theory on the basis of this. The electron nonextensive parameter have been measured which cannot be measured by traditional single probe, and obtained more accurate electron temperature, plasma potential, electron density and floating potential than traditional single probe. The nonextensive electric probe plays a role in plasma diagnosis, which will measure the nonextensivity of plasma and improve the diagnostic accuracy of other plasma parameters.

    Abstract: The present disclosure provides novel and improved IL-15 fusion proteins for use in the treatment of cancer and other disorders. In various embodiments, the fusion proteins of the invention have two functional domains: an IL-15/IL-15R?Sushi domain (also referred to herein as an “IL-15/IL-15R?Sushi complex”) and an Fc domain, each of which can take different forms, and configured such that the IL-15 is fused to the C-terminal of the Fc domain and co-expressed and non-covalently complexed with IL-15R?Sushi. Importantly, the fusions proteins of the present invention address several of the limitations observed with the IL-15 therapeutics evaluated to date; specifically, the fusion proteins demonstrate extended the half-life of IL-15 in vivo, and demonstrate superior preclinical activity compared to rIL-15 or related cytokine therapeutics.

    Abstract: The retrievable packer system includes a packer mandrel, a lock ring, an upper cone, a lower cone, a slip device, a retrieval mandrel, and a plurality of push rods. The lock ring is attached to the packer mandrel, followed by the upper cone, the slip device, the lower cone, and the retrieval mandrel. The lower cone has lower cone rod channels, and the push rods anchored on the retrieval mandrel slide through respective channels toward the upper cone. The packer system is run into the borehole with each rod in the first position relative to a tip end of the lower cone and the slip device in the run-in position. The packer system is set and can be locked at a location in the borehole. Each push rod can push the upper cone to return the slip device to the run-in position for retrieval of the packer system.
