  • Patent number: 12229662
Abstract: An all-optical neural network that utilizes light beams and optical components to implement layers of the neural network is disclosed herein. The all-optical neural network includes an input layer, zero or more hidden layers, and an output layer. Each layer of the neural network is configured to simulate linear and nonlinear operations of a conventional artificial neural network neuron on an optical signal. In an embodiment, the optical linear operation is performed by a spatial light modulator and an optical lens. The optical lens performs a Fourier transformation on the set of light beams and sums light beams with similar propagation orientations. The optical nonlinear operation is implemented utilizing a nonlinear optical medium having an electromagnetically induced transparency characteristic whose transmission of a probe beam of light is controlled by the intermediate output of a coupling beam of light from the optical linear operation.

  • Publication number: 20250022532
Abstract: A method of modeling enhancer activity obtains a training dataset in electronic form. The dataset comprises a plurality of training enhancers and, for each such enhancer, a corresponding measured amount of activity of the enhancer in each of one or more states. Each enhancer is a tandem repeat. A model comprising a plurality of parameters is trained by inputting each training enhancer into the model. Upon input, the model applies the parameters to the training enhancer to generate, as model output, a corresponding predicted activity of the training enhancer for a first state of the one or more states. The plurality of parameters is refined based differentials between corresponding measured and predicted amounts of activity in the first state for each of the training enhancer. A plurality of test enhancers is generated using the trained model and their activity tested thereby modeling enhancer activity.

  • Patent number: 12032997
Abstract: Techniques are described herein that are capable of reducing interrupts using buffering for data processing. In a first example, information is received at an operating system from an application. The information indicates multiple buffers, including a triggering buffer to trigger an interrupt from hardware. Portions of the data are stored in the respective buffers. A schedule for processing the buffers is provided to the hardware. The schedule indicates that the interrupt is to be delayed until the triggering buffer is processed by the hardware. In a second example, a network interface controller is configured to provide one interrupt to the operating system for each of multiple subsets of network packets that is processed by the network interface controller. Each subset includes a number of the network packets that is greater than one. The network packets are associated with a common network socket.
