Abstract: An augmented reality interaction method includes: capturing an identification tag; capturing a depth information corresponding to the identification tag; generating a virtual object according to the identification tag; generating an augmented reality image; and displaying the augmented reality image; wherein, the augmented reality image comprises the virtual object, and when a processor detects that a tactile feedback device touches the virtual object in the augmented reality image according to the depth information, the processor transmits a control signal to the tactile feedback device for controlling the tactile feedback device, and the tactile feedback device provides a hand tactile effect.

Abstract: A stereoscopic image displaying method and a stereoscopic display device thereof is provided. The stereoscopic image displaying method includes a data providing step, a polarization adjusting step, and a backlight controlling step. The stereoscopic display device includes a display panel, a light modulation device, and a backlight module which are respectively configured to perform the data providing step, the polarization adjusting step, and the backlight controlling step. In the backlight controlling step, the time of turn-on and turn-off is adjusted. Alternatively, in the data providing step, black-image data is added.

Abstract: An overdriving apparatus including a memory unit, a position unit and an overdriving unit is provided. The memory unit stores a present frame received and outputs a previous frame stored in the memory unit. The position unit generates pixel position information according to a display control signal of the present frame. The overdriving unit determines a corresponding relationship between several pixel grey values of the present frame and several display areas of a display panel according to the pixel position information, so as to select a corresponding specific table group of each of the pixel grey values from a plurality of overdriving tables. The overdriving unit further generates an overdriving frame by looking up the corresponding specific table group of each of the pixel grey values.

Abstract: A method and an apparatus for generating a control signal are provided. This method includes following steps. First, a reset parameter is generated according to a data enable signal and a clock signal, wherein the reset parameter indicates a cycle of the data enable signal. Next, a counting value is generated according to a positive rising edge of the data enable signal and the reset parameter. Finally, a control signal is generated according to the counting value. As a result, the control signal can be continually generated to apply various techniques when variation the data enable signal is ceased.

Abstract: A method of gathering statistics of gray distribution of an image in an image processing device is provided. The method includes determining gray information of a plurality of data of an input image, wherein each piece of information corresponds to a count value. In addition, a fixed value is sequentially added to the corresponding count value according to the gray information of the data. When the count value exceeds a predetermined value, the count value is reset and the gray distribution of the image is updated. The count value of each piece of gray information is accumulated and when the accumulated value exceeds a predetermined value, the gray distribution of the image is updated to simplify the flow of process of the method of gathering statistics of gray distribution of an image.

Abstract: An LCD driving apparatus and an LCD driving method are provided in the application. The LCD driving apparatus includes a difference value circuit which determines whether to enable an overdriving circuit and a memory controller according to a gray level variation between two adjacent frames. When the gray level variation between two adjacent frames is less than a predetermined threshold, the overdriving circuit and the memory controller are disabled so as to reduce power consumption.

The device includes a comparing unit, a count unit, a memory unit, and a data allotment unit. The comparing unit determines gray information of a plurality of gray data of the input image, and output a respective count signal accordingly. The count unit includes a plurality of counters. Each counter corresponding to predetermined gray information has a count value. The counters update the count values according to the respective count signals. When the count value exceeds a predetermined value, the count unit outputs a pulse signal corresponding to the predetermined gray information. The data allotment unit updates the statistics of the gray distribution of the image stored in the memory unit according to the pulse signal. The present invention reduces the number of the registers the counters require and decreases hardware costs.

Abstract: A three-dimensional (3D) display including a memory unit, a signal processing unit, a display panel, a pair of shutter glasses and a timing controller is provided. In a first display period of a left eye frame period, the signal processing unit reading and outputting the first display data from the memory unit. In a third display period of a right eye frame period, the signal processing unit reading and outputting the third display data from the memory unit. In a second display period of the left eye frame period and a fourth display period of the right eye frame period, the signal processing unit outputting second display data. The timing controller controlling the shutter glass and driving the display panel according the first display data, the second display data and the third display data. As such, writing-in time and display time of frames can be increased.

In a first display period of a left eye frame period, first display data are read from a memory unit, and the left eye frame is displayed accordingly. In a second display period of the left eye frame period, second display data is provided and a black frame is displayed accordingly. In a third display period of a right eye frame period, third display data are read from the memory unit, and the right eye frame is displayed accordingly. In a fourth display period of the right eye frame period, the second display data is provided and the black frame is displayed accordingly. Abstract: An image compression/decompression device and a method thereof are provided. In the method, a first array is generated according to an input image array, and further, a second array is generated by performing an edge detection algorithm according to the input image array. Besides, a plurality of elements of a third array is generated according to the first array. Furthermore, a group of elements of the third array is selected according to the second array. In addition, an average value of the group of elements is computed to obtain an element of an output image array. Each element of the input image array and the third array is M bits, and each element of the first array is N bits, wherein M and N are natural numbers, and M is larger than N. Thereby, the quality of a decompressed image is improved.

Abstract: A three dimensional display and a method thereof are provided. The display includes an image display device and a shutter glasses. The image display device receives a video signal to display a left eye frame or a right eye frame, and outputs a shutter synchronization signal according to whether the left eye frame or the right eye frame is displayed. The shutter glasses is coupled to the image display device to open a left eye glass or a right eye glass according to the shutter synchronization signal. Therefore, the display and the method prevents the left eye and the right eye from receiving an incomplete frame.

Abstract: A method for generating a 3D image utilizes a background image and an object image. A camera is used for capturing a 2D image including the background image and the object image. The object image is obtained from the 2D image according the background image. Then, an image from a first angle of view and an image from a second angle of view are generated by rendering the background image and the object image. So, the 3D image is generated by interweaving the image from the first angle of view and the image from the second angle of view.

Abstract: In a display system, sums of differences between two consecutive frames are calculated according to differences, which are able to indicate a degree of difference between frames, such as pixel differences or luminance differences. A motion proportion is calculated according to various values of sums of differences of different blocks between frames, so that the degree of difference between the two consecutive frames may be indicated more concretely. At last, according to settings of a lookup table, different motion proportions may respectively correspond to different frame rates and different displaying states for displaying a frame under different requirements, so that the aim of saving power consumption without reducing display quality of frames is fulfilled.

Abstract: A touch apparatus and a touch sensing method thereof are provided. The touch apparatus includes a touch panel and a controller coupling to the touch panel. The controller includes a detection unit and a decision unit coupling to the detection unit. A touch coordinate which is resulted from the touch panel being touched is detected by the detection unit, and a decision result is obtained according as the touch coordinate is touched continuously during a specific time. A database for storing a decision data is built in the decision unit according to the decision result.
