    Abstract: Devices, systems and methods related to management of syntax flags with respect chroma formats in video processing are described. In one representative aspect, a video decoding method includes determining, based on a chroma format of a video comprising a region, whether one or more syntax flags applicable to the region of the video are absent in a syntax structure of a coded representation of the video. The one or more syntax flags are indicative of usage of a luma-dependent chroma residue scaling coding step for representing the region in the coded representation. The luma-dependent chroma residue scaling coding step comprises a scaling process in which a scaling coefficient is derived based on reconstructed luma samples and the scaling process is applied to a chroma residue. The method also includes generating one or more decoded video blocks of the video region by parsing the coded representation according to the determining.

The method includes: inputting a to-be-recognized blurry face image into a generator of a trained generative adversarial network to obtain a to-be-recognized clear face image; inputting the to-be-recognized clear face image to the feature extraction network to obtain a facial feature of the to-be-recognized clear face image; matching the facial feature of the to-be-recognized clear face image with each user facial feature in a preset facial feature database to determine the user facial feature best matching the to-be-recognized clear face image as a target user facial feature; and determining a user associated with the target user facial feature as a recognition result. Through this solution, the accuracy of the recognition of blurry faces can be improved.

The MVD represents a difference between a predicted motion vector and an actual motion vector used during motion compensation processing.

    Abstract: A tunable optical filter provides a narrow passband centered around the wavelength of the laser beam to limit ambient light noise impinging on a primary photodetector. As the wavelength changes due to temperature or other effects, the wavelength is indirectly measured and used to shift the passband of the filter to center it on the shifted wavelength. A portion of the emitted beam is diverted through the same tunable filter to a feedback photodetector. The output of the feedback photodetector will be at a maximum value when the tunable filter passband is centered on the laser beam wavelength. By controlling the passband of the tunable filter to maximize the feedback photodetector output, the passband remains centered on the laser wavelength. The tunable filter is a Liquid Crystal Tunable Filter (LCTF) or another tunable filter large enough to pass both reflected and feedback light to the primary and feedback photodetectors.
