Abstract: A method for configuring a proxy server is disclosed. The method includes: establishing a first speed performance indicator and a second speed performance indicator, wherein the first speed performance indicator is configured for indicating a minimum threshold speed of the proxy server, and the second speed performance indicator is configured for determining whether the proxy server reaches a predefined standard speed; and selecting at least one proxy server from multiple candidate proxy servers according to the first speed performance indicator and/or the second speed performance indicator, and configuring the selected proxy server as a currently used proxy server. An apparatus for configuring a proxy server is also disclosed.

Abstract: According to an example, a webpage which includes at least one image is loaded. A request for manipulating an image in the webpage is received, and a window that has at least one command interface for manipulating images is established. The image in the webpage is identified by using the request, and is loaded into the window that has the at least one command interface. When a command is received via one of the at least one command interface, a processing corresponding to the command is performed on the image, and the processed image is presented in the window.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for implementing an extended application are provided. The method includes: receiving, by the first browser, calling of an API of the second browser performed by the extended application of the second browser, in the adapter mode; converting, by the first browser, the calling of the API of the second browser into calling of an API of the first browser; executing, by the extended application of the second browser in the first browser, functions of the extended application of the second browser by performing the calling of the API of the first browser.
