  • Patent number: 10388318
Abstract: A disc drive has an opening portion for inserting a disc. The disc drive includes a driving unit, a moving member, a traverse, a disc positioning structure and a restoring structure. When the disc is intended to be clamped on the traverse, the driving unit drives the moving member to move the traverse to a disc holding position to clamp the disc; and the moving member moves the disc positioning structure to a disc release position so that the disc positioning structure does not contact the disc. When the disc is intended to be released from the traverse, the driving unit drives the moving member to move the traverse to a disc unloading position to unload the disc; and the restoring structure moves the disc positioning structure to a disc loading position to support the disc.

  • Patent number: 9358805
Abstract: A laser printer fuser assembly in a laser printer includes a lever to control envelope mode printing. The lever may protrude from an external surface of the laser printer and may provide a first position for normal paper printing, a second position for envelope printing, and a third position for jam clearing in the laser printer. The first position may apply a maximum force between a fuser heat roll and a pressure roll in the laser fuser printer assembly. The second position may apply a reduced force instead of the maximum force, while the third position may apply zero force. The first and second position may be accessible without opening a cover panel of the laser printer.

  • Publication number: 20140237608
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a system and method for masking email addresses. In an exemplary embodiment, a consumer responds to a marketing offer by supplying consumer information, including an actual email address, to a lead specialist. The consumer's actual email address is masked, with a unique email address substituted, when the consumer's information is passed-on to a lender. The lead specialist can then track and filter responses to the consumer to identify misuse of its lead information and to protect the consumer from unwanted emails and solicitations.

  • Patent number: 8434044
Abstract: A programmable chip design tool is provided to enumerate and specify the security and/or redundancy constraints of a programmable chip design. A design is implemented with a high-level security or redundancy scheme, and the programmable chip design tool applies the scheme while simultaneously optimizing for desired metrics (logic density, routability, timing, power, etc.). An underlying assignment scheme as well as user interface components used to enter this assignment scheme are provided.

  • Patent number: 7645024
Abstract: An apparatus for adjusting the printhead-to-media spacing in an inkjet printer is disclosed. The apparatus includes a carriage rod that is fixed in position relative to a media support and a carriage for supporting at least one printhead. The carriage has a contact surface that abuts the carriage rod to allow the carriage to be supported thereon and moveable laterally along the length of the carriage rod. The apparatus further includes an actuating means that moves the carriage relative to the carriage rod along an axis transverse to a longitudinal axis of the carriage rod. During the movement, the contact surface of the carriage remains in abutment with the carriage rod to thereby allow the carriage to continue to be supported on the carriage rod. A method of printhead-to-media spacing adjustment, implementable using the apparatus, is also disclosed.
