Patent number: 11419068Abstract: A large-scale MIMO (Multiple-Input Multiple-Output) wireless transmission method for millimeter wave/Terahertz networks is provided. In order to reduce the interruption of propagation in the millimeter wave/Terahertz band, a plurality of cells are combined into a wireless transmission network, the base station in each cell is equipped with a large-scale antenna array, and a unitary transformation matrix is used to achieve large-scale beam coverage for user terminals in the entire network. Moreover, in order to reduce the influence of the multipath and Doppler effects on transmission performance, received signals are synchronized for time and frequency in each receiving beam of a user terminal. The method allocates power for signal transmission according to the statistic information of synchronized equivalent channels, and gives an optimal power allocation matrix by iterative solution based on the CCCP (concave-convex procedure) and the deterministic equivalent method.Type: GrantFiled: February 20, 2020Date of Patent: August 16, 2022Assignee: SOUTHEAST UNIVERSITYInventors: Xiqi Gao, Li You, Xu Chen, Yufei Huang, Xueyuan Shi, Siran He, Wenjin Wang

Patent number: 11068253Abstract: Methods and systems for modifying software programs are disclosed. For instance, an example method for modifying a software program may include extracting, from a configuration program file, a future list of one or more future active entries relating to a future version of the software program and a future list of one or more future ghost entries relating to the future version of the software program, comparing the future lists of future active and ghost entries to current lists of current active entries and current ghost entries of a current version of the software program. Then, at least one upgrade or at least one downgrade of the current version of the software program is performed in response the comparison of the current and future lists.Type: GrantFiled: October 25, 2019Date of Patent: July 20, 2021Assignee: Hewlett Packard Enterprise Development LPInventors: Freeman Yufei Huang, Matthew Lee Deter, Jorge Arturo Villavicencio Conejo, Hari Babu Ravindran

Patent number: 5788062Abstract: Suture dispensers for retaining armed sutures are disclosed. The dispenser disclosed is comprised of two flat panels of material that each have a central opening. A needle park is provided so that the needle is visible in and accessible though the central openings. In preferred embodiments, the needle park is made of a thin sheet of clear material. Several alternate needle park designs are also disclosed. The two panels are preferably locked together using edge locks in the form of corresponding slits and tabs formed on the panels themselves. In addition to being inexpensive, easy to manufacture and easy to fill, the disclosed dispensers is much thinner than current designs and thus requires less storage and shipping space. Methods of loading dispensers are also disclosed.Type: GrantFiled: February 21, 1996Date of Patent: August 4, 1998Assignee: Ethicon, Inc.Inventors: Robert Cerwin, Marvin Alpern, Yufei Huang, Emil Richard Skula
