Abstract: A process for collecting seeds efficiently and simply at a low cost from a lump consisting of a plurality of seeds having fluffy fibers is provided. The process for collecting seeds includes the steps of disentangling the lump consisting of a plurality of seeds and burning the fluffy fibers after the disentanglement of the lump.

Abstract: A gel coating method comprising making a mold (27), which has both a gelatinizer impermeability or a slight gelatinizer impermeability and a hardening agent permeability, retain a hardening agent (26) thereon beforehand by immersing the mold (27) in the hardening agent (26) and taking out the mold (27) therefrom, placing a gelatinizer (30) and an object to be sealed (9) in the resultant mold (27), allowing the hardening agent (26) to permeate through the mold (27) as a whole by immersing the mold in the hardening agent (26) again, and uniformly hardening the gelatinizer (30), which is around the object to be sealed (9), from the portion thereof which contacts the mold (27), whereby the object to be sealed (9) is rendered easily removable as gel-coated object (9a) from the mold (27).

Otherwise, a through hole 12a is pierced vertically within a gel culture medium 12, a seed 13 is inserted into trough hole 12a, and gel culture medium 12 including seed 13 is dried after seed 13 germinates.

Abstract: In an apparatus for classifying objects by sedimentation having a straightening passage, capable of being prevented adhesion of bubbles to the straightening passage, and capable of being prevented a sample supplying error generated caused by a closed sample supplying portion on account of air locking, there is provided a bubble-removing passage for removing the bubbles within fluids at upper stream position of a straightening mesh within a classifying bath for classifying objects based on dropping position caused by a final sinking velocity of said objects falling within fluids after throwing said objects into flowing fluids, the bubble-removing passage which comprises a filter and a filter holder secured within the classifying bath through a protuberance.

Abstract: A tube-type sample supplying portion 1 is provided upright above a classification tank 2. A sample inlet pipe 5, which communicating with a culture tank 3, is connected to the lower part of the sample supplying portion 1. An outlet pipe 6, which communicating with the culture tank 3, is connected to the upper part of the sample supplying portion 1. A sample feed pump 4 and a valve 7 are positioned in one of the flow passages between the outlet pipe 6 and the culture tank 3. The flow speed of the fluid including the sample in the sample supplying portion 1 is set to a speed being only a little faster than the final sinking speed of lumps of immature cultivated cells in the fluid.

Abstract: The object of the present invention is to provide a substance collecting apparatus for a precipitation classifying device which is capable of automatically transmitting the classified substances to a next process in a sterile atmosphere even during a substance classifying operation is being performed, and in order to attain the object, the substance collecting apparatus comprises a pipe 15 whose one end is connected with a partitioned part 6 of a classifying tank side by way of a first electrovalve, while the other end is diverged into two ways, one of which is connected with a liquid-substance separating tube and having a third electrovalve 23 in the halfway thereof, whereas the other is connected with an exhausting side of a pump 24 and having a second electrovalve 22. The intake side of the pump 24 is further connected with a liquid reservoir tank 25, having in the halfway of the first pipe 15 a liquid flux regulating valve 32.
