  • Patent number: 10144623
Abstract: A variable frequency drive motor system includes a variable frequency drive motor and a controller coupled to the motor. The controller includes a rectifier, a direct current (DC) link bus, and an inverter. The controller is configured to determine that a brake has failed. In response to the determination that the brake has failed, the controller is configured to determine that power to the controller from a power supply has been interrupted. In response to the determination that power to the controller has been interrupted and a determination that a DC voltage across the DC link bus is below a first threshold value, the controller is configured to drive the motor at a faster speed.

  • Patent number: 9476943
Abstract: Methods and systems for determining the status of a solenoid. A method includes measuring a plurality of parameters associated with a current conducting through the solenoid. The measured parameters are compared to predetermined reference parameters to determine the status of the solenoid. A system includes a sensor configured to measure a plurality of parameters associated with a current conducting through the solenoid. The system includes a control module configured to receive the measured parameters and operable to compare the measured parameters to predetermined reference parameters to determine the status of the solenoid.

  • Patent number: 8496104
Abstract: Communications systems and methods for transmitting extendible conveyor control signals along an extendible conveyor. A conveyor communication system includes a first transceiver for use on a stationary boom of an extendible conveyor system, configured to communicate with a conveyor main control of the extendible conveyor system. The conveyor communication system includes a second transceiver for use at an end boom of the extendible conveyor system, configured to communicate with a control station on the end boom. The second transceiver is configured to receive wireless communications from the first transceiver over a wireless communications link.
