  • Patent number: 11982802
Abstract: Disclosed herein are device and method for performing a total internal reflection scattering (TIRS) measurement to a sample slide. The device comprises a first reflective plate having a first opening; a second reflective plate having second and third openings and disposed on top of the first reflective plate thereby forming a slot therebetween for accommodating the sample slide, wherein the first opening of the first reflective plate is disposed directly underneath the second opening of the second reflective plate; a white light source disposed in the space formed by the third opening of the second reflective plate and configured to emit a white light into the slot; and a first blackout layer disposed on top of the third opening thereby covering the white light source and keeping the emitted white light from leaking. When the sample slide is inserted into the slot, the white light source illuminates the sample slide so as to achieve the TIRS measurement to the sample slide.

  • Publication number: 20110231330
Abstract: A job matching method that matches applicants with employers is revealed. The job matching method includes steps of providing a plurality pieces of capability information of a job seeker, creating a capability map by quantifying the pieces of capability information, and matching the capability map with a plurality of recruitment requirements. Thus the job applicant's capabilities are shown by the capability map clearly and the employers find qualified candidates more quickly. The length of the interview is reduced and the recruitment period is minimized. Therefore, the recruitment is more efficient.

  • Publication number: 20090124869
Abstract: The present invention related to a medical apparatus capable of recording physiological signals, which uses a EEG detecting circuit to detect the human brain and produce a EEG signal, a ECG detecting circuit to detect the human heart and produce a ECG signal, a microcontroller circuit to receive the EEG and ECG signals and produce a control signal, and a storage unit to receive the control signal and store the EEG and ECG signals. The EEG and ECG signals are correlated. Accordingly, physicians can analyze diseases conveniently.

  • Patent number: 5876350
Abstract: A convenient low-cost heart rate monitor. In one embodiment, a digital filter structure includes a low pass filter having a notch at 60 Hz and a bandpass filter which amplifies signals in a frequency range from 10-40 Hz and has a notch at 60 Hz. This digital filter has a recursive structure and uses integer coefficients to simplify and speed up the calculations. A four bit microcontroller may implement the digital filter. The output of the digital filter is subject to enhancement signal processing to emphasize QRS complexes indicative of human heartbeats.
