  • Publication number: 20130083113
Abstract: A liquid ejection apparatus includes a liquid ejection head, a conveyor, a recording controller, and a flashing controller. The conveyor conveys a recording medium along a conveyance path. The recording controller causes the conveyor to convey a recording medium, and controls liquid ejection from the liquid ejection head to form an image on the recording medium based on image data. The flashing controller causes the conveyor to temporarily stop conveyance of the recording medium, and causes liquid injection from the liquid ejection head based on drive data which is unrelated to image formation. The flashing controller determines timing for executing a subsequent flashing control on that, within a print enforceable period between one flashing control and the subsequent flashing control, the number of pages subjected to image formation based on image data increases with a decrease in time interval between image formation on one page and on another page.

  • Publication number: 20120327148
Abstract: The liquid ejection apparatus includes a liquid ejection head, a drive unit, a non-ejection drive controller, and an environment measurement unit. The drive unit selectively supplies an ejection drive signal and a non-ejection drive signal to the actuator. The non-ejection drive controller causes the drive unit to supply the non-ejection drive signal to the actuator within a non-ejection drive period which is at the trailing end portion of the non-ejection period, when the non-ejection period satisfies the predetermined condition. The non-ejection drive controller controls the drive unit so that the length of a blank period is varied based on at least one of the temperature and the humidity measured by the environment measurement unit, the blank period being a period between a point of supplying a final non-ejection drive signal within the non-ejection drive period and the trailing end of the non-ejection period.

  • Patent number: 8318846
Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide an olefin-based thermoplastic elastomer composition that has both weatherability and flexibility at low temperatures, is excellent in fluidity, and causes no stickiness even in the use at high temperatures; a process oil composition for elastomers that serves as the raw material of the thermoplastic elastomer composition and contributes to the above characteristics; and an oil-extended elastomer containing the process oil composition. The process oil composition for elastomers of the present invention has a property that, when 20 parts by weight of the process oil composition for elastomers are blended with respect to 100 parts by weight of a propylene homopolymer, the melting point of the propylene homopolymer is lowered by 2 to 4.5° C. compared to that of the propylene homopolymer without blending.

  • Publication number: 20120236056
Abstract: A liquid ejection apparatus comprises a head, a conveyor, an image dot controller, a determiner and a non-image dot controller. The determiner determines whether an image dot non-forming period is equal to or longer than a predetermined time period. The non-image dot controller controls the head so that each ejection opening, whose image dot non-forming period is equal to or longer than the predetermined time period, ejects liquid once within a non-image dot forming period in the image dot non-forming period, to form on a recording medium a non-image dot, the non-image dot forming period being a period from a third time point which is after the first time point to a second time point which is the predetermined time period after the first time point, and that a plurality of the non-image dots structured by the liquid ejected from the ejection openings are scattered in a conveyance direction.

  • Publication number: 20120224202
Abstract: A print data conversion area can be created to reflect that all printed slips are not the same size. A printer includes a conveyance unit that conveys checks with one edge following a guide extending in the conveyance direction, a length detection unit that detects the length of the conveyed check in the conveyance direction, and a conversion area formation unit that creates a print data conversion area to which print data for the entire image to be recorded on the check is written. The conversion area formation unit determines the range of the conversion area with reference to a position corresponding to a particular position on the check using the detected length of the check in the conveyance direction.
