  • Patent number: 9003016
Abstract: An apparatus and method provide logic for formatting electronic content. In one implementation, an apparatus includes an identification unit configured to identify a plurality of devices associated via a network, and a receiving unit configured to receive information corresponding to the associated devices. The information includes a function provided by the associated devices and performance data corresponding to the associated devices. A generation unit is configured to generate a first value of an execution metric describing at least one of an execution of the function by the associated devices or the performance data corresponding to the associated devices, based on at least the received information, and an output unit is configured to output the first metric value.

  • Patent number: 7987359
Abstract: In an information communication system, information communication devices exchange an IP packet over IP networks. When performing a predetermined packet exchanging procedure in which the number of router hops is limited to a predetermined control value or less, each of the information communication devices monitors Time-To-Live values designated in the headers of IP packets received over a period of time from the start of the predetermined packet exchanging procedure to immediately before the end of the predetermined packet exchanging procedure to continuously update the maximum Time-To-Live value of the monitored Time-To-Live values, and checks whether the maximum Time-To-Live value does not exceed the control value.

  • Patent number: 7886160
Abstract: An information processing apparatus for processing encrypted data input as a byte stream with dynamically changing decryption keys includes the following elements. An encrypted data receiving section receives encrypted data input as a byte stream, identifies a range of data that is decrypted using an identical key as a unit of decryption, extracts information necessary for decryption from the byte stream, and outputs encrypted data sets in which the extracted information is added to segments of the encrypted data. An encrypted data decrypting section sequentially decrypts the encrypted data by queuing the encrypted data sets while distributing the encrypted data sets to generate plaintext data. A plaintext processing section processes the generated plaintext data.

  • Patent number: 4591720
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of measuring radioactivity which is suitable for discriminating between surface and internal contaminations of a body. The radioactivity of a subject is measured to obtain a .gamma.-ray energy spectrum of radioactivity signals obtained thereby, and a discrimination between surface and internal contamination of the subject is performed on the basis of the ratio between a photoelectric effect component and a Compton-scattered component of the .gamma.-ray energy spectrum.According to the present invention, surface and internal contaminations can be clearly identified.
