  • Publication number: 20170017833
Abstract: This video monitoring support apparatus is provided with a processor and a storage device coupled to the processor. The storage device holds multiple images. The video monitoring support apparatus performs a similar image search, in which multiple images held in the storage device are searched for images similar to an image extracted from inputted video, outputs multiple recognition results, which include information relating to each of the images obtained by the similar image search, and controls the amount of the outputted recognition results to a predetermined value or less.

  • Patent number: 8594192
Abstract: An image processing apparatus for encoding or decoding an image, wherein, even when it is desired to process a motion picture having, e.g., a high resolution, the capacity of a memory necessary for storing a predictive frame is reduced. In an image processing device such as an image encoding or decoding device for encoding or decoding an image, the processing device encodes or decodes the image in an intra-child-frame correlation system or in an inter-child-frame correlation system. In the system, a frame of the image to be processed is treated as a parent frame, the parent frame is divided into a plurality of child frames, and an intra-child-frame correlation or an inter-child-frame correlation is used for each child frame.

  • Patent number: 7710455
Abstract: On the basis of state change information acquired by one of sensor nodes forming a sensor network, an instruction indicative of emitting a signal is issued to another node to acquire a photographed image from a camera. An image processing device identifies the ID and actual position of the node by issuing the signal issuance instruction to the node and detecting a signal obtained from the node from the photographed image. On the basis of personal information stored in a database, the image processing device detects a not-allowed action.

  • Patent number: 7558323
Abstract: In a picture transmission network including networks of different transmission speeds, when a picture is sent at a bit rate which is adjusted to the transmission speed of a low-speed network, only a low-quality picture of a low bit rate is obtained in a video reception unit connected to a network of a high transmission speed. When a picture is sent at a transmission rate of a network having high transmission speed, the picture cannot be reproduced at all in a video reception unit connected to a network of a low transmission speed. To solve the problem, a video transmission unit generates at least an I picture data and a plurality of P picture data. In accordance with a request from the network, the I picture data and a predetermined number of P picture data is transmitted to the network.

  • Patent number: 7280698
Abstract: Coded, or compressed data of moving pictures is received through a transmission path. The picture type of the compressed data is detected from the received compressed data of moving pictures. If the picture type of the received compressed data of moving pictures is found to be intra picture, predetermined image data is supplied to a monitor so that it can be displayed on the monitor, and also to a memory so that it can be stored in the memory. If the picture type of the detected compressed data is found to be inter picture, the image data resulting from decoding the received compressed data and the image data stored in the memory are added together, and the data resulting from the addition is supplied to the monitor so that it can be displayed on the monitor and also to the memory so that it can be stored in the memory. Therefore, the image to be monitored and to be cautious about can be displayed on the monitor.

  • Publication number: 20060168634
Abstract: A compressed image transmission system wherein desired one of a plurality of pieces of compressed video data transmitted onto a network from a plurality of transmission devices is selected at one of receiver terminals connected to the network and received to the receiver terminal. The transmission devices transmit reference images corresponding to the associated compressed video data to the network. Each of the receiver terminals displays the received reference image on a monitor, and an operator specifies the compressed video data to be received on the basis of the display state of the reference image.

  • Publication number: 20020057363
Abstract: An image data conversion method and apparatus capable of real time output of moving pictures and simplifying the control circuit. This apparatus includes a central processing unit (CPU) for decoding compressed data and transferring the decoded data at the same line frequency as that of a receiver, and an image inverse-conversion processor for converting the data transferred from the CPU to an image size that can be displayed on the receiver. The CPU controls the decoded data so that it is decimated by eliminating predetermined lines so as to have the same number of lines as that of the receiver displaying apparatus, and be transferred to the image inverse-conversion processor. The image inverse-conversion processor includes a converter circuit common to the conversion to odd and even fields.
