  • Patent number: 6612610
Abstract: An air bag device includes an inflater having a retainer retained thereon and being inserted into a folded air bag through a slit defined in the air bag and then, a protector sheet is wound around an outer periphery of the folded air bag. The air bag device is secured by a bolt inserted through the superposed retainer, air bag and protector sheet and fastened by a nut. The slit in the air bag is covered with the protector sheet and closed thereby, whereby the slit can be closed without provision of a special closing member to prevent leakage of a high-pressure gas from the inflater.

  • Patent number: 4849700
Abstract: A device for detecting the residual capacity of a battery comprises a battery current measuring circuit for measuring battery current, a battery voltage measuring circuit for measuring battery voltage, a converting circuit for converting the measured current into a voltage value, based on the internal impedance of the battery, and a comparator circuit for comparing the conversion voltage value with the measured voltage. When the measured voltage is smaller than the conversion voltage value, the comparator circuit operates a battery residual-capacity detect signal indicating that the residual capacity of the battery is small.

  • Patent number: 4826911
Abstract: Tread rubber compositions or use in automobile tires are disclosed which essentially comprise matrix rubbers and specified amounts of a selected class of low-hardness vulcanized rubbers having specified particle sizes. The matrix and vulcanized rubbers include carbon black, respectively, in amounts defined by the equation 0<X.ltoreq.Y/3 where X is the amount of carbon black present in the vulcanized rubber, and Y is the amount of carbon black in the matrix rubber, each such amount being based on the total weight of the matrix rubber. The resulting tire is rendered highly resistant to snowy and icy conditions and also to abrasive wear.

  • Patent number: 4587640
Abstract: A cassette type semiconductor memory device is provided with a RAM and a back-up battery within a cassette, with a connector connected to the main frame of a data processor. The RAM and its periphery circuit, as well, are backed up by the battery. The live-line insertion/removal of the memory pack is detected by monitoring the power source voltage. At this time, memory access is prohibited. Further, flow of current from the main frame into the power source line is prevented.

  • Patent number: 4297727
Abstract: Scanning and recording operations are performed by separate mechanical and electronic units. Signal processing, run length encoding and decoding operations are performed by a microcomputer on a priority interrupt basis utilizing at least two sections of a random access memory. The microcomputer operates on and stores the data on a byte-by-byte basis, with each byte having a predetermined number of bits such as eight.
