Patent number: 8949634Abstract: An OOB sequence monitoring unit detects that an OOB sequence carried out between a base device as a superior device and a connection I/F which operates even if an extension device is in a standby state has proceeded to a given stage. Based on the detection by the OOB sequence monitoring unit, a power supply control unit instructs a starting power supply unit to supply power. When the extension device starts, the OOB sequence is carried out between the extension device and the connection I/F of another extension device in the same manner. As a result, extension devices are started in decreasing order from the extension device closest to the superior device.Type: GrantFiled: December 30, 2008Date of Patent: February 3, 2015Assignee: Fujitsu LimitedInventors: Yuichi Sakagami, Nina Tsukamoto, Oumar Thielo, Nobuyuki Honjo

Publication number: 20140317348Abstract: A control system includes: a superordinate apparatus that includes a multi-path driver controlling an access path; and a second control unit that transmits a control signal used for an instruction for setting an access path to a first control unit that is newly connected to be communicable with the superordinate apparatus to the superordinate apparatus. The multi-path driver sets the access path to the first control unit based on the control signal supplied from the second control unit, thereby autonomously setting the access path in a case where a control unit is additionally installed.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 18, 2014Publication date: October 23, 2014Applicant: FUJITSU LIMITEDInventors: Sugio Watanabe, Hiroshi Shiomi, Yuichi Sakagami, Kenji Hiyoshi, Tomoaki Sasaki

Publication number: 20070150684Abstract: An apparatus and the like for transmitting data via an I2C bus, which is simple in structure and can yet accumulate data transmitted via the I2C bus, thereby to analyze errors in the I2C bus easily. The apparatus comprises a memory circuit 4 connected to the I2C bus that connects a master 1 and a slave 2. The initial I2C address of the memory circuit 4 is set to the same I2C address as that of the slave 2 in order to write data into the slave 2. The data to be written into the slave 2 is saved in the memory circuit 4, and the I2C address of the memory circuit is set back to the initial I2C address after the data has been written into the slave 2. Thus, the data can be stored in the memory circuit before it is written into the slave and can be read from the memory circuit without influencing the operation of reading data from the slave.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 16, 2006Publication date: June 28, 2007Applicant: Fujitsu LimitedInventor: Yuichi Sakagami
