  • Patent number: 8485967
Abstract: An endoscopic imaging device includes an objective optical system, an imaging element, a transmissive protective substrate, an optical member, and a circuit board. The objective optical system imports observation light from a subject. The imaging element captures an image of the observation light. The transmissive protective substrate is disposed on an imaging surface of the imaging element with an air gap interposed therebetween. The optical member is disposed between the objective optical system and the transmissive protective substrate to guide light from the objective optical system to the imaging surface. The circuit board is disposed so that an area where an electronic component is mounted faces the optical member and the electronic component is brought into contact with an outer surface of the optical member.

  • Patent number: 6641528
Abstract: The bending part of an endoscope is constructed in which plural joint rings are connected with each other. The adjacent joint rings are rotatably connected with rivets after overlapping a connecting part with another connecting part. A guide hole is formed at the inner head of the rivet, and a bend-control wire is inserted through the guide hole whereby the bend-control wire is guided. A notch and a hole are formed at the end and the base of the connecting part, respectively; therefor the bend-control wire is prevented from coming into contact with the connecting part.

  • Patent number: 6582360
Abstract: A tip component is provided at an extremity of an insertion part of an endoscope. The tip component includes a body member, in which a forceps aperture is formed. A forceps tube is arranged inside the insertion part. A hard part is formed at the end of the forceps tube, at which the forceps tube is sandwiched between an inner cylinder and an outer cylinder. The hard part is inserted into the forceps aperture of the body of the tip component and is fixed with a screw. A connecting part between the forceps tube and the forceps aperture is thus formed in the body of the tip component, and the length of the tip component is reduced as a result.

  • Patent number: 6482149
Abstract: A curve control wire, which is inserted in a curved part of an endoscope, is inserted and guided in guide holes of connecting pins, which are rotatably provided inside a plurality of joint rings. A body of the connecting pin is inserted into a hole formed in the joint ring, and the connecting pin body is provided with a flange for preventing the body from falling into the inside of the joint ring and an annular plate for preventing the body from falling to the outside of the joint ring. By such a structure, the curve control wire can be easily inserted into the guide holes. A protection member is attached to the end of the connecting pin. The outer peripheral face of the protection member is made of a material softer than internal members, which are arranged inside the curved part, such as a light guide, a signal cable, a forceps tube, and an air and water supply tube. Thus, the internal members are prevented from being damaged.

  • Patent number: 5894369
Abstract: An anti-fogging lens device, having a plural number of optical glass lens elements mounted within a lens barrel, including a first lens element located in a foremost position on the side of a subject and a second lens element located behind and at a space from the first lens element. A spacer ring is fitted in the lens barrel to set apart the first and second lens elements by a gap space of a predetermined width. The spacer ring is formed of a material having higher thermal conductivity than the lens elements and, on the inner peripheral side thereof, provided with a moisture depositing surface which is formed in a non-flat shape to increase its surface area. The lens barrel is fitted in a cylindrical member, and a seal pocket, to be packed with a seal material, is formed between the lens barrel and the cylindrical member to stop clearances between these two members with a secure hermetical seal.

  • Patent number: 5827172
Abstract: An optical system for electronic endoscopes which makes it possible to thin tips of endoscopes and minimize illumination ununiformities. In this optical system, a prism having a half transmissive mirror film formed thereon is disposed on a rear side of an objective optical system, a CCD is optically connected to a reflecting optical path in which rays are flexed at a right angle and a light guide is connected to a straight travelling optical path. A light diffusing plate and a condenser lens are arranged between the light guide and the prism. This arrangement makes it possible to dispose the objective optical system in series with the light guide in a tip of endoscope, thereby enabling to thin the tip. Further, the diffusing plate prevents an image of a shape of an end surface of an optical fiber bundle from being projected reversely to an image pickup device.
